- Brett offers his services and comes for a visit to repair the plastic tanks we have. Unfortunatly some footage was lost due to a corrupted SD card but thankfully we still had something to work with.

Hi guys, we had some corrupted or lost footage so there is a little bit of detail missing unfortunately but hopefully it’s still enjoyable!
I don't know what corrupted footage is...unless I have had a couple too many...but great work everyone...cheers 👍
I could understand everything that was said
Seemed to be enough footage and explanation to make it enjoyable
@@Bretto-mf2cb I’m glad!
My respect goes out to Brett. Modest as well as having the courage to “get back out there” after an illness. I hope his health continues to improve
Dad's dodgy repairs are turning into Peter's Professional Practices
That's amazing how someone learned a special type of job back in 1980 and they are still capable of doing it today as well as anyone. I'm glad he was willing to share his talent with everyone and I believe you are good to go now. Just keep the boys busy 😂😂, and outta trouble. Love your videos on taking care of things behind the scenes. That's what keeps things going on the farm is the little things.
Hey up Matt i was one ov many that asked fo this to be shown so thank you for that, you definitely got enough to show the process even if your old man corrupted Brett
Great video well worth doing the repairs to those tanks. Bet out takes of Peter’s videos are worth watching
Great to see a professional doing his job
Great video!!! Nothing against the D11's but a healthy mixture of video content will keep this great channel going!!!
The young falla is not dodgy he's just very creative because we all know their is more then one way to do things .and he's probably forgotten more about everything most people will ever know .that man is a legend in his feild and bloody brilliant 👏
Very interesting video Peter
Humbleness is the reward for knowledge and self -sacrifices !.
This is similar to repairing large tyres, I have had to repair many repairs because incorrectly applied in the first place,
Good explanations, that was new and interesting!
Thanks for sharing this info on the plastics welding. It was interesting to see how its done.
And The Skid Factory hoodie!
Ausies represent! :)
Hahaha yes the Skid Factory. Aussies supporting Aussies. Had their beenie on before that also😂😂
Woke up briefly a saw a new video and said “Yep, I’ll see what is going on”
Anyway, I love this channel and it’s always something different and interesting.
Cheers
G'day awesome plastic welding
when you have the right tools the job looks easy , yet it takes skill as well , and knowing when too let some one help
Hello Peter, Is Brett interested in getting more work? With this exposure there will be plenty of others needing his skills. If Brett is happy with it, give him a plug. Word will get around quickly.
After some health issues he is slowly getting back into it👍
If done properly the weld is just as strong as the parent material. The hdpe will work very similar to ark welding. The materials should mix in the weld kind of..... I used to enjoy welding polly until I fell into a trench and knackered my leg! Grinding etc smears the surface contamination into the parent material. No good! Oils from your finger can bugger a weld. Acitone is your friend! Cheers and G'day from Tasmania
Acitone leaves residual behind. Alcohol is what they use. Rotor molded tanks are a LLDPE, different temperature and welding wire material than HDPE.
Thank you for sharing, another entertaining video.
so got too share some of those sunsets in the closings moments ,
Pretty neat setup he has for fixing poly....
Most enjoyable Jackson crew. Sure is interesting
Great content guys 🏴👍🏻
that was fantastic, you need to have the camera for more time than your current allotment
Interesting that the outside repair is sufficient, even when the inside is easily accessible. My amateur thinking would put a patch on the inside as well, but - pause and think - would that weaken the repair??? Maybe.
Confined space, and welding at 215 degrees Celsius doesn’t take long to get heat exhaustion in a tank
@@Bretto-mf2cb Good point :) My thinking cap sure strangled my brain on that point.
a wire wheel works great for surface prep
First time commentor long term viewer , around Peter's age, great practical and informative vidio. I think Matt may need to watch his back lol. But I can see the genetic connection. May need to adjust the channel tittle to 'The Jackson Brothers, Family and FATHER'. Great Aussie no BS content, repair/refurbish/recycle/reward.
i do pe hdpe poly and copoly plastic welding for a living i build tanks and other various custom boxes consoles ect for emergency services. polyethylene is a very forgiving material for repairs
Great video Peter and Brett. Very interesting. Thanks
I’ve got the same brand of hot air gun but not with the automatic feeder unit. Very handy the hot air gun welder.
This is a extrusion welder compared to a heat gun hand welder
Ver interesting video ☺️
I hope it lasts.Everyone i know who got it done saw it fail again in a couple of years
Awesome stuff, Driveway warranty on those repairs I assume :P
Haha they were pretty messed up but seem to be working 🤞
How far away is the nearest town?
About 35km👍😁
I was just wondering in all your videos all I see is land far as i can see. I live in Kentucky USA I can only see about 2 mile. I’m surrounded by hills 100 acre field is considered large. Keep up the good videos. I really enjoy watching y’all.
