I don’t know where you are going with this but here is my 2 cents. I’ve done quite a few 1uz swaps. Everything from 85k to 280k miles on the clock. There’s never been a reason for me to rebuild the motor. No more the replacing all the “soft” gaskets like valvecover, front/rear main seals, can seals etc. the head gaskets never fail so I don’t touch them. All the motors run clean and perfect. The only oil burning is at start up due to the valve stem seals but it’s always very minor and clears up in a few seconds. I never bother to replace them. These motors are perfect for low maintenance swaps and I’ve never had an issue. Can’t wait to see what you are going to drop this in. I hope you choose the IS300 because that’s what I’m going to do to mine.

These engines always have different colors on the valvecovers, thats just the PCV system. My engine is definitely cleaner at exactly 100k miles, but It doesn't look off for 100k with normal oci's maybe higher phosphorus dino oils considering the valve covers being a little dark. Also the leakdown test was definitely because of oil.

I have 2 1UZs, one from a 95 SC400, and another from a 92 LS400. The SC 400 valve covers where not painted, and the LS400 was. Looking at your valve covers it would appear someone mixed up different engines to make that one at some point.
