Unlike the germans whose engine at idle vibrates so much a glass couldn't stay still
@@mayuravirus6134 that's not true. I've owned a 1uz, and now own a Audi 4.2l and the Audi is just as smooth than the Toyota. If I put a glass of water on my Audi right now it would just sit there even while bring up the rpms
@Shndon430 Hurtado it's really close trust me, I've owned both. They're both great V8 engines. I have the 2005 Audi 4.2l with the timing belt so it doesn't have the timing chain issues. The Lexus was on another level of reliability though
This video was awesome! Thank you sir!
Toyota in a world by it self wen its comes to making autos..toyota king of autos.my brand for life...
A friend of mine had a First Gen LS400 drift car that now it giving his 1UZ to a KE70 corolla
You have a dope channel. I watch you and engineering explained back to back. Thanks buddy.
*Salutes
THANKS MAN FOR THE WORK U DID AND URE DOING PLEASE KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK.WISH U THE BEST
Your own sponsor (AEM) have a piggyback called FIC-8 and it works perfect on turbo 1UZ-FE's. At least on conservative boost levels as I've run (8psi spring on WG). CHEERS!
Surprisingly wasn't a very obvious spy for Suzuki. 😂😂😂
This is a crazy history. Had no idea so much went into this development.
You’re literally everywhere lmao I swear I see you in every TikToks comment section
@@johnkfennedy7203 Hahaha that's me! I've also been following D4A for years now. :D
OMG i love you, what a great video!
I have the Volks from the MCR8r on my Soarer. And i had to delete some mufflers because the engine was so quiet it was UNSAFE (had to take my eyes off the road to see if the engine was still running).
Next step, twin turbo it with the turbos from my 6 cyl Soarer!
OMG you did it, awesome job on the rap challenge, you got it going on, thanks
Just found your channel, just subscribed. Great, in depth info!

My 1997 LS400 didn't have VVTI. Pretty sure that became available with the facelift that happened from 1998-2000 before the LS430 in 2001.
Awezome video! Very good job.
You are one smart guy ! TY for video!
Great work once again!
These are great. I'll gladly take more. Would love to see something on the 2tc/3tc. Best rap so far BTW =D
Yes sir I got one that's boosted making 192hp but that bad boy puts up a fight.
I loved my Toyota Soarer V8 (sc400) but it was not a great car to drive harshly around town as it was just too heavy for the power the 1uz made. But It really came alive on the 100km/h sweeping bends of mountain highways. It was also very thirsty around town for me but nothing every went wrong with the engine which is a first and for any car I've owned.
My little brother just got a 1997 LS400. i wanted to buy it but already own 4 cars. with only 150k km and still looking mint not rusty at all for a Canadian Car.
its still running on Stock muffler i told him to get rid of those and he still haven't done it.
been about a month of ownership.
Found a 92 Toyota Alexis(even though it shows Lexus emblem it just sounds weird)found this engine, Toyota is joe becoming one of my favorite manufacturers, they make some pretty sick stuff
This engine is very popular in South Africa
and dubai
Super V8 easy to work with and gives you the road power you deserve. I have it in two of my car 1.1990 500SL and 2. 2007 range rover sport. Cure for COVID-19 affected cars lol.
True, all the Corollas and Tazz’s
Yes what an engine design. I use a 2uz daily that has given me 15 years of excellent service!
Before the UZ Toyota had the V series V8s but generally they were only used for the domestic luxury car market.
Another engine that's needs one of these videos is the Chevy LS V8.
Awesome engines, we'll be putting a twin turbo'd 2uz in our project Supra. The 1uz, 2uz and 3uz family are similar and can often be found for only a few hundred dollars.
Didn't know AEM made this sort of equipment Awesome
My 2000 LS400 is at 260,000 miles. Runs great..
Me too I have a 2000 platinum edition .... previously owned 1999 model
Such a great channel! i bacame an instant subscriber! Awesome history coverage, with pros and cons, in alternate senarios! Kool!👍
Forget boosting. The beauty of the 1UZ is that with proper care and maintenance you can easily hit 500,000+ miles. How much money can you save without a monthly car payment for 10 years? It's a lot of money and it adds up faster than you think. That's why I prefer to keep my 1UZFE and 2URGSE engines stock and put the savings in the bank.
最後のラップ最高!上手ですね!
Incredible story, thanks for this vid!❤
Excellent video 👍
Can`t wait for the VK56DE😍
Just bought a well taken car of 1994 Sc400 and this help make some since out of things. This will be an expensive build for me so I’ll just take my time. Thanks
What an engine thank you Japan!
Awesome! Surprising what this engine can do for its small displacement.
You're definitely American if you think a 4.0 V8 is small displacement 🤣
@@paulharper4196 😆 Yup, sitting outside is a built 455 Buick, 451 Big Block Chrysler, 351 Cleveland but, I also have the Toyota 4.7 and a Honda 1.8 R in a Civic. I like them all.👍
Very cool video. Love to own one of these Toyota mile stones
Best engine ever I miss my LS 400.
Patty jay literally the best engine, if the tolerances were any tighter it wouldn’t start in cold weather like a Formula 1 car.
Great video💯
got one in my te72 wagon, its a monster
8:12 engine: *revs*
TH-cam caption: "MUSIC"
Its not wrong
Wow I must say very detailed engine breakdown from A to Z thank you for all the information definitely have become a subscriber and we'll watch all your videos
Great breakdown on this motor. Thanks!
Never heard of this engine. Looks good. In America, it is LS Chevy and the Ford Coyote. They are durable, affordable and make big power
Hello from usa🇺🇸 best engine when drive👍
I love these videos, thanks mate!
This was GREAT info !! Respect. Trinidad & Tobago.
Outstanding Video, really appreciate it🙏🙏🙏
Love the toyota love on this channel. Great engine
Great video!
If you want to go for high NA power levels, you start with a DFV ;-) which BTW really deserves an Iconic Engines entry.
