Been a while Rich. We missed you. Very educational video. The only thing I would do different is to move the floor jack to the middle of vehicle and just touch the cross member for extra safety.
I would have to say that it depends. If you can do the steps that I show in the video, have the tools and the time, I would say that is the best course because you get the same result as buying the whole assembly for (currently) $180.00 for about $40.00. Even if you mess up and destroy a bearing, bearings are only $18.00 each, so you're not out much money and you can try again for another $18. If you want to get it done FAST and certain, then for SURE buying the assemblies is the way to go. You can probably replace a side with a brand new assembly in 45 minutes, so 90 minutes total.
