    I just started vlogging this year, and it honestly changed my life. My first (traveling to Malaysia) vlog even got 1k views in the first month! It's so much work, but honestly it feels like legacy building. So so glad I started this format!

    Here's a tip from an old pro... No matter what light you vloggers use, you can always soften it by purchasing a small sheet of "Frost" diffusion. Rosco, for instance has light Opal, Tough Frost and many more and a 21" x 24" sheet is only $8.50 (on B&H). A sheet that big should last you for months if not years! Just cut a small piece off and attach it to your light with tape. Gaffer tape will work best and that too is available on-line. This gives you options as to how much diffusion you want on your light and it can be used on any light, even large LED fixtures.

    I got the Spidermonkey holster recently and LOVE it. Wow, what a game changer. I saw it in your review months ago and kept debating but finally decided to try it out. Thank you! It works like a dream for backpacking as you can hold your hiking poles while hiking and just grab the GoPro to shoot something whenever you want. Like that it clicks in place also! I am buying a 2nd one so my hubby can have the clip on his belt, too.

    is it worth upgrading from Go Pro 7? Usually i just grab my iPhone 13 Pro to vlog, so convenient but a few shops told me not to film. If I had a GoPro with a neck mount I think they wouldn't have noticed. The problem is some restaurants a little dim mood lighting and not sure if that's too dark for GoPro.

    I am intrigued- how do you manage to get steady footage when walking with GoPro Hero 10? For me that slow up and down, especially when walking on trails in nature, seems to defeat the otherwise amazing stabilization (such as recording driving a quad bike over very rough ground). Are you using a gimbal. It doesn't look like it in the first minute of this clip (and elsewhere). Above all I want to share with people my walking in nature on often very steep "goat" trails. Haven't managed to work out a good way to achieve this. Cheers Andrew from New Zealand.

    • @Gemini_Connect
      @Gemini_Connect  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      We have Hypersmooth Boost enabled and always shoot in well lit areas (Hypersmooth seems to deactivate when filming in low light). That gives us really smooth footage, even without a gimbal.

  • @cheers2journey

    fantastic video...i was expecting pocket 2 also in the list ...probably you can make a video why you dont have that in your camera bag

    • @Gemini_Connect
      @Gemini_Connect  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Honestly we have too many cameras, lol. The GoPro and 360 cam cover our wide angle shots, and they have great stability without needing a gimbal. The Pocket 2 felt repetitive. But if you need a pocket cam and didn't want to use GoPro, the Pocket 2 could be a replacement.

    hi,
    my name is oren, i enjoied your video so much
    and i would love your opnion
    for a travling vlog (only me) whice mic is the best
    rode wierless 2 or rode video micro (shotgun)
    i want to have to best audio so wireless seems perfect, but ! i will be many times at the beach so not always a shirt to plug it in or even biking or Kayaking where there is no place for wierless rode 2
    and also i will use a max grip stick cause like u i need the camera further away from me
    i know an aoption is to simply put the wierless on the camera but i dont want it to pick sounds from behinde me like cars and other noses
    so i want to go with the shotgun (rode video micro) but im afraid th sound will not be as good while the camera is on the max grip and we all know how much sound is important
    tanks again for a great video as always and for your help :)
