The Eastern pier can be fished but it's a very long walk from the road. If you can carry a bicycle, you could cycle from the Bishopstone car park. (no vans) along the seafront track. It' where I caught a 27lb cod in Dec 1982. Luckily I had a trolley! No chance of being bothered by such a fish today though. It used to be a good mark.

Thanks for sharing the mark! I visited this mark after watching your video, I really enjoyed the session as I could fish next to my car, my question is it open over night, I am thinking to do an evening session there, many thanks in advance!

Hi sorry for the delay. Ive just asked about the night fishing over at the WSF forum. The understanding is that the barrier has a 2meter height on it so you should be o.k to night fish. This could be a great night venue in summer

@@MyRobinHut also, as the weather improves, the dogging community move in to Newhaven carpark for the better months, but leave them to it and get fishing mate, it' the only venue with sea action and land action going on simultaneously!

Hello Matt. I’m still deciding where to fish on Thursday. The weather forecast isn’t too bad but a very strong Westerly. I was thinking of Newhaven Fort where there is easy parking.
Another option is to go to Hastings and fish the arm in front of the Aquarium. What do you recommend.

Hi sorry looks like i missed the message mate - `sorry bit late now. Its almost guaranteed dog fish time with possible conger on most of the sussex spots. Add to that the arrival of the female ray could be good , Send me a P.M on matt@saltwaterangler and ill send you some ideas
