19:15 - Great way to showcase the new BHS changes. Everything from the shorter distance when spammed to the reduced i-frames were demonstrated in that fight, and became relevant at some point or another.
Hopefully now people can use it without getting eye rolls. Why balk at nerfed BHS when Mr. Fingerprint shield's got infinite stalling potential for the minute downside of taking tiny chip damage from non-physical damage. I wanna see BHS with an Ultra GS in Chase's hands.
From what I can tell, in that second invasion the blue mage was locked on to you and was backing up while chugging a blue, but then you jumped from the upper level of that walkway past him, causing his lock on to orient him with his back to the ledge suddenly, so he just backpedaled off. You love to see it.

Nah man he got yeeted off. If you play it in slow motion you can actually see that there was an animation like he got hit by the lighting. But there was no lighting haha
@@Cyan1902 He rolled off. I think he got scared with Chase's jump, and did a roll, but because he was locked onto chase, he rotated and ended up rolling off the map.
I recommend St Trina's Torch for it is undiminished

5:55 The Greataxe in that player's right hand is the Crescent Moon Axe. IIRC, that's somebody's favorite weapon in the dev team. As a result, it has been in not only every Souls game, but every King's Field game way back when. It's been in From Software's games as long as the Moonlight Greatsword has.
Getting the kill through that Fingerprint Shield was so satisfying 🔥 that thing is the bane of my existence sometimes lmao
here's a few pretty interesting things i've found out about shields in elden ring
-shattering crystal is quite good against them in midrange, some explosions can catch them from behind, plus aoe shotgun is very nice in general
-if they DON'T have barricade shield or something similar, ultra greatsword's barbaric roar is 3 rapid hits you can do pretty quick, letting you counter their guard counters and deal chunky stamina damage
-the dancing blade ashes of war should be able to bypass the shield by counting as an attack from behind
-double vulgar militia shotels with bleed is a pretty good general counter, jumping attacks let you clear pokes, and if they don't have immutable shield they can suffer any buildup you pick
Cipher pata. It's amazing how fingerprint users will just walk right into its special move and be like "huh, he took half my health bar, how can this be?!!"

The Crescent Moon Greataxe. I love it. Is has a semi-unique r2 shared only with Godrick's axe, despite the Crescent one being a regular smithing weapon. After the greataxe buff of 1.06 I've been using it a lot and I love it. I recommend it. (Dropped by the bigger brute exile soldiers in Stormveil Castle)
Definitely one of my favorites, if you use fire affinity and flaming strike the AR can be really high
I like the fact that this sword made of giant spine really a unique wopean with a solid move set!
If you look at the weapons hilt, you can tell that the sword itself was a separate sword before it was buried into the spine. It really is unique, cause the idea that somebody just buried their sword into the bone of a giant and kept the bone, is pretty badass

It’s the giant king from DS2 for those who don’t know.
At this point i am astonished at how I watched so many of these and Chase always won. And the Positive Mental Attitude of every damn duel and gank is just a great teaching tool for everyone.
There's one he lose in ds3 but i forgot which one, when hes showcasing really shitty weapon, and there's also one hes lose recently in celebrant cleaver showcase
he’s lost i think twice in the elden ring showcases, maybe one was a draw on the ruins great sword showcase.
I'm sure he loses much more, but for entertainment's sake only puts in losses where the match would be engaging to watch. I'm also certain he summons based on what weapon they're using- don't usually see him going out of his way to show many UGS-crouch poke gremlins or dual-Nagakiba Bullgoat monstrosities that I know for a fact are prevalent at 125 PvP.

The sleep torch is just in the concentrated snowfield just past the first grace to the north east I believe its guarded in a chest pulled by giants

Great showcase Chase! Highly recommend the Longhaft Axe been using it a ton since the patch. Honestly the Greataxe's have become a favourite since the update. Thanks again Chase!
Very nice to see a greatsword with no extreme use of the crouch poke. Loved this video!
I recommend the anchor, its a great axe that has access to the 30% extra counter attack bonus because it does piercing damage and is great for trades. It can also take advantage of the spear talisman to increase these counter attacks even more. Finally, it has great synergy with Raptor of the Mists, one of the most fun AoW to use.

The sleep torch is a caravan just off path near the first grace or two of Consecrated Snowfield. There's 2 caravans in Consecrated Snowfield and they are relatively close to each other.
This was the weapon i used to kill the last 2 bosses on my first play through. Definitely a good sword i like the way it looks too

Though, honestly, I'd be pretty stoked to get a sword and board with the broadsword. Ol' reliable!
It's interesting that insofar as infusions go quality is by far the weakest of the physical trio, but they get a lot of very good, or at least fun, unique weapons like this, the bloodhound's fang, the dragon halberd, the axes of godrick and godfrey (lots of quality/faith weapons too: the girandole, cleanrot spear, miquellan knight's sword, inseparable sword & blasphemous blade, beastclaw hammer & devourers scepter, etc.) I wonder why they chose to handle it this way.
Insert obvious scepter of the all knowing plug here.
There is one more interesting angle to this
If you build for one weapon, and it not one of these quality unique weapons, then keen and heavy will be better than quality. BUT if you build for multiple weapons, and go quality for unique weapons + versatility of heavy/keen options, then the quality infusion can still be optimal over heavy and keen.
My first character was soul level 150 with 44 strength and 55 dexterity. Yeah the unique quality weapons were excellent, but the quality infusion is actually better than keen or heavy for LOTS of non-unique weapons too.
So keen and heavy are only categorically better than quality if you are building for one weapon, not a set of weapons.

She knows the location of the medalion's counterpart, I'm sure.
@@AndrewBrownK although I agree quality builds have the largest variety of weapons, you can still have a wide variety of weapons on a dedicated stat build. Jeenine I believe runs a strength build and still has a huge arsenal.
However another point to consider is that cold infused weapons generally have quality physical scaling. For example, grossmessers get C scalings across the board in strength, dexterity, and intelligence while being great status applicators, and the greathorn hammer uniquely has no intelligence scaling at all and only c/c strength & dex scaling on a cold infusion. Though the practical use of this is situational at best.
The Battle Axe is really good, at only 16/18 str/dex with 45 faith it gets 610 AR at a weight of 4.5 which is a full 2 points lower than rivers. It jumps to 675 with Flaming Strike, it's only 4 AR lower 1 handed plus you can throw on FGMS for even more damage. Plus ARC/Faith can do 45/45 for spells since the Dragon Communion Seal softcaps there. Only recently started using it but I like it so far
I love how cool this weapon is, this gets the frog stamp of approval!
Also you should try deaths poker
The best wake up would probably be to buff as soon as the backstabbing animation is finished and charge up the special heavy
Milo’s shriek doesn’t just lower def it causes others def it also lowers status resistants so it could pair well with status builds

Awesome showcase Chase, by the way the new NPC invader for white mask drops a brand new hammer tailsman! 🔨 makes it easier to break a shield guard aka causing more stamina damage.

Sword of Milos and Blasphemous Blade work well together since one debuffs, the other does crazy damage, and BB restores health while Milos restores MP
hey just fyi there's some places in the vid where something went wrong with the capture or render and the video freezes, it happened at least once in the beginning and I just saw it happen again at 6:20

Will you consider doing a showcase on the Gargoyle Halberds? They have the shortest range of any halberd, but I have found them to pack a much meaner punch than the Dragon Halberd.
I know this is old but the best wake up for that weapon is its normal charged r2 where it charges at your opponent I was hoping you’d try it in this video

I wonder if Link watches these videos and knows there's a group of us cheering on their improvement to maybe someday defeating you lol. Anyway, I am going to shill for the flamberge. Never see anyone use it, and am curious why. It's infusable and has innate bleed, while also having good dex scaling if you choose to go keen, so you got some different options for how you wanna use it if you wanna go arcane for occult as a bleed build, or as a poise dex option with keen. Personally I'm curious to see how it performs with occult, since I'm planning on a sort of bleed knight build myself

Did they ever fix the Sword of Milos not lowering your resistances? I know I saw Oro testing it awhile back on his Death Shotel build but it didn't lower the death blight resistances or any of those related resistances.

I love this sword as a malae oriented build. I really love its machanics and its move set. And I don't like spaming big ashes of war over and over. This sword works pretty well for me.

I’d like to see you try out the Onyx Lord’s Greatsword. It’s a curved greatsword with B int/str scaling. The ash of war is opposite of gravitas, it pushes away, so I think it would be interesting in PVP.

I wanna see an interview with Link someday, if someone can track him down-- we've seen him so often, and seen him test so many weapons and various semi-cosplay tactics, and he's generally improved a lot as a player since the series started. I'd love to hear what things have been like from his perspective, and just know more about this fella we've seen so much of

From my perspective, I prepare myself some weapons and tactics (that i faill to apply) and fill my spirit with hope and "this time i'll be better. And why not win". And then I get kicked =D (It reminds me of team Rocket from pokemon >.>)

I'm really enjoying the invasion portion of these more now that wex dust is added. Seeing the same pvp locations and scenarios really felt like the weapons weren't being showcased fully.

I usually hose every invasion when I am doing Co-op. I would dread seeing Chase invade. Probably won't happen since I'm level 410 but I'll still worry.

i just tried a few possibilites on a build calculator:
- he was around RL125 with Vagabond-Class as Base (maybe)
- Full Bullgoats-Set with Fingerprint + Graftedsword requires an Equipload of 117.2 (69.46% ~ 168.7 total Equipload) with Great-Jar's Arsenal and Erdtree's Favor +2 (i also included Crimson Amber Medallion +2 and Greatshield Talisman)
- HP around 1417, Stamina around 177 with 100 Poise, so following Stats are required; Vigor 36, Stamina 71, Strenght 48, Dex 14

Me too it was such a good combo, get both FP and HP on kill plus Blasphemous blade art heal too, that is if it hits.
