Interesting work. I have never used a turret lathe, so doing two operations simultaneously would be a bit daunting. Speaking would be better than subtitles.
I feel trying to talk while all different operations are progressing would creat opportunities for mistakes, your mind may not be on the process . It did look very interesting tho and some info would be nice , like at the end. Kind regards B
Having a running description is good as you’re doing the work. I’d rather have that then subtitles. I miss the what’s being done if I’m reading the text.
SPEAK a bit, how much is a bit, watch some of the Cutting Edge Engineering videos that Kurtis does with his wife, to get a feel for what just the right amount of yammering is needed.
Thank you for the reply. I googled Rubitracks and saw what they are. I live in Louisiana so we wouldn’t likely need a set for snow. If they work well in mud now we got some of that! I used to operate a shop that used bunch of turret lathes. We were turning, drilling and threading on them. I’m a big fan of turret lathes for production. Thanks again.
No need to talk, machine and your machinist skills does it for you 👍
Takes me back to a long, long time ago when I worked on both Ward & Herbert, Turret lathes of all sizes.
I like it when they just do a voice over the video.

Man I am liking these vids! Thanks for sharing!

Who doesn't like pie?
I can't watch what you and the machine are doing if I have to read the ticker. Nice work though!

I will like and subscribe. Radko Gudas twin? :)
Why is coolant used when machining aluminum?
To keep the part cool… it also prevents the aluminum from sticking to the carbide.

What is a rubitracks hub?
It’s an aluminum hub for a track conversion we manufacture.

i'm too damn scatterbrained to try and run 2 operations simultaneously, i'd crash that thing right off the bat.
Pretty cool little lathe, it has very easily adjustable stops to disengage the feed for both the turret and the carriage
I agree talk is overrated.
