I just bought a 1979 CB 750. It came in boxes and fully dissembled and it’s my first project. These videos will be super helpful!!
Good luck!
Nice
Instruments look like off an F2, my K7 also has blue instruments. Your pipes and carbs K7. K7 pipes look like welded to K2 exhaust flanges. I used fibreglass replica side covers and seat base and a Walker 4 -1 exhaust. Anyone doing a resto make sure you clean your carbs and reset the adjustments, float levels, jets etc.
The Tach is for a CB750 F2 (1977) or F3 (1978). Sounds like someone put together a Frankenstein...great opportunity! So K7 engine/tranny/carbs and a 1975 body/frame (K0-K6 frames are shorter than the K7-K8)...should be interesting if you buy parts (model will depend on where you plan to install the part, ha).
Frankenstein is the perfect way to describe this bike. I noticed it has a different looking rear sprocket too. It was rumoured to have an 836 kit in it but I've got no way to actually prove that.
Saw this on kijiji. You may want to check the chain alignment on your Frankenstein . 77-78 have the engine sprocket positioned 10mm outboard with 17 inch rear wheels and will not fit earlier swing arms and rear wheels without mods. Then again it may have been modified.
Hey Johnny. This bike is rocking a smaller diameter rear wheel too! I forgot to include that in the ad.
