    Thank you so very much for sharing this journey of yours. I'm sorry to hear that you had such a setback, that's just completely crazy that they just changed it without telling anyone... but you're back on track and moving forward and I'm very happy for you. Hope that you do more videos like this one in future. Would be excellent to even hear one about your photography.

      So sorry you got cheated out of the transaction timing, that should be a actionable action against that phar. Company!!! Although I didn’t have what happened to you I did have some ups and downs with getting my levels were they should be. It was a roller coaster ride for a while. I took me maybe 2 or more years before they started to stay stable…. Finally! So hang in there, this whole transitioning thing is a roller coaster ride. I’ve been full time now for almost 10 yrs and still there are some ups and downs but the ups are totally worth it girl. I’m the happiest I’ve ever been so keep working toward your goals and you WILL get there❣️

    I have been a weirdo for 60 years. I am unique, sometimes hard to "take", but with a really open mind and a lot of empathy and compassion. It's OK to be weird, but it CAN be lonely. I was considered "beautiful", by some, and I never saw it. Finally...years later...I discovered, over time and with an amazing therapist, plus a LOT of self help, who I actually am. I didn't transition, I just wanted to die, every day, well on and off, for 40 plus years! So hard. But if I can make through 40 years, you can too. Although I am hoping you dont suffer 4 decades.

    Sorry to hear that you are having a rough time...the process is painfully slow all you can do is stay the course and things will get better.
    My journey is taking even longer i have seen the pherepist and had my diagnosis. Then they wanted the blood tests... that's when my stress began the results came back with high PSA levels and yet more tests and procedures revealed that I have a enlarged prostate and its cancerous. The waiting drives me crazy they have started the blockers and they were going to remove the prostate gland and It's not possible due to complications. Now I am waiting for a date for an orchectomy ... the removal of the testes as the cancer feeds off the testostrogen so once that has been done i will be able start the estrogen.

    • @mackenzie4976
      @mackenzie4976  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Omg I'm so sorry to hear you are having these complications. My heart goes out to you. From my limited understanding, the introduction of Estradiol in the system can help reduce the size of the prostate, MAYBE reducing some of the potential problems for you. But then again, I'm no doctor. I really hope the orchiectomy goes well and helps reduce the cancerous cell production. From an outside perspective it seems like the process of transition could be a major help in reducing the underlying risk of the cancerous prostate. Like you were almost meant to be a girl all along! ;)

    Mackenzie, I’m new to your channel. I’ve been on Estradiol pills of 1mg, 2mg, 4mg & 5 mg (& back to 4mg because of a clot scare) for 9+ months and although the levels from the bloodwork appear to shift in the right direction, I don’t feel the emotional changes that one would think should be there. I think there are some major differences between us. 1) I’m probably more than twice as old; 2) I’m non-binary & not seeking a complete transition but rather more towards an androgynous presentation; 3) I’m on Finesteride not spiro); 4) I’ve had multiple doctors, endos monitoring my progress; 5) other health (preventing exercise) & stress issues might have impeded what should be happening. I think it’s literally a crime what the pharmacy did in your case and hope it’s now fixed.

    • @mackenzie4976
      @mackenzie4976  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I will say that I didn't really take notice of the emotional changes until they hit their peak between 10 to 12 months. But that can vary wildly depending on the person. 1)I might be slightly older than you think ;) 2) I consider myself genderflux/genderqueer and I totally appreciate androgynous style (check out my instagram). 3) I have been considering finasteride, but my Endocrinologist is having trouble ordering the proper dosage through the VA pharmacy. 4) Hopefully this has helped prevent any issues in your journey like I had, 5) I really hope you can to appreciate the benefits that come from your hormone journey, and your other issues aren't too bad.

    • @larryjaffee8793
      @larryjaffee8793 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for the response and insight about the emotional changes 10-12 months. I wonder whether the injections may be more impactful than the pills., which were changed up on the latest refill to the larger white round tablet, compared the previous purple smaller oval. One thing I didn’t mention was that I have a frequent urination need, especially in the middle of the night, which is why I didn’t want spiro. So Finesteride appeared to be the proverbial kill 2 birds with one stone regarding the prostate issue. However I’m planning to revisit that med with the urologist. I’m 64 btw.

    We have been on HRT for the same amount of time. It was a little easier for me to get on estrogen because I was on Spiro for over 4 years do to High blood pressure to start with. Until December 2020 I did not know Spiro was a T blocker and was holding out thinking I might want kids and when I found that out I decided it was time and in January 2021 I had an appt with PP to get on Estrogen.

      @@mackenzie4976 Over all it is going smoothly. I have had a close call with my HRT prescriptions do to the lab at my GP clinic not getting the order in the first place and then when they did they sent the wrong test results. I have access to the labs on the clinics patent portal so I was able to get the e-mail address to send it to and got that taken care of. I have had long hair sense I was in my early 20's and have no photos to speak of during the time I started living in the roll until now so no timeline to compare other than what I used for a video. The law about transition in us and germany is very different. In germany you need to get a report of a medical specialist and live one year as woman before you can get hrt.
    If i understand correctly, you had nearly a year hrt before going to work in womans clothing.
    I do not know, wich way is better. But i guess it is more complicated going to work as woman as long the changes of body and face did not take place. So i think, germany is again overregulating.
    What do you think?

    • @mackenzie4976
      @mackenzie4976  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have not had any type of surgery yet. Although, I have a few planned for the future as they become financially viable for me. I would say go ahead and start HRT even if your timeframe for surgery is a while out. The changes from HRT take a long time. The timeframe for when you are eligible for surgery really depends on where you live, your personal health needs, and your doctor. I've heard of some people getting surgery in less than 2 years, but I've also heard some people weren't able to get permission from doctors until after a minimum of 2 years on HRT. Check with your doctor and get their opinion. They'll be much more informed than I am.

      I can understand the confusion. My identity falls under a couple of different titles. Transfem, Genderqueer, Genderfluid/Flux, feminine-leaning nonbinary. Or, to be make it easy for most people, I just tell them I'm Queer. I administer Estradiol injections weekly as part of my transition under care of a medical professional. I prefer a lot of feminine styles in terms of clothing, but I also love mixing some of my old masculine pieces to create a more androgynous look. I know I don't have the most feminine appearance, and that's ok with me. I have found a comfortable middle ground of androgyny. I hope this clears things up a bit. Why does it seem that all these trans people are incredibly immature. Are anime, video games and living online vs in the Real World the cause? If not, what is ?

    • @mackenzie4976
      @mackenzie4976  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like to think I live a decently grounded life in reality. I do like to indulge in entertainment media in my free time just like a lot a people. I don't think it's necessarily an immaturity thing. I just appreciate the artistic efforts that go into shows like Arcane. Whether that be well crafted stories from creatively unique minds, gorgeous and stimulating visuals, or emotion invoking soundscapes that bring it all together. I don't watch an overabundance of these things. This just happened to be a good example of something I enjoyed. I hope you have something you enjoy equally as much if not more so. :)

    • @juicevuitton625
      @juicevuitton625 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Watching Anime doesn't make you immature. People like to watch them because it's like cartoons for adults and they're very entertaining. Video games are fun. Everyone is online. You can't equate these to immaturity. More likely it's the fact that we know people hate us and we don't want to be hurt or bothered. If you could elaborate on what you mean as immature. Personally I know I do not act as serious as a 27 year old would act usually, but why would I? Why would I want to be a part of the status quo? A trans person is like the definition of "being yourself no matter what anyone thinks" so asking them to act "normal" is kinda pointless. "Normal" is subjective. "Normal" is the guidelines society has put on you so that you blend in. We already don't blend in so we really don't care. I wouldn't equate it to immaturity. I have the ability to be extremely professional and mature, but why do I want to be "normal" it's boring, mundane, and repetitive
