totally agree. These 3 bonus songs should be on the album. Even if you left all the others, but I'd get rid of Permanating. it does not go with the other songs at all.
I love this and pretty much all of his instrumental tunes. Collecting Space and Ambulance Chasing are probably my all time favorites, but there are SO many great ones in his discography.
Great track. I've seen Steven Wilson twice. Once with Porcupine Tree and once solo. Both times were amazing live shows. This track somehow reminds me a bit of B side of Bowies Heroes.
I think you're selling him quite short there. How can he be overrated when he's not even in mainstream? Calling musicians with a cult following overrated is a huge contradiction.
Gutemberg Pedrosa He sure do bear his influences on his sleeve. But his influences are eclectic. And he is good at incorporating them in a soulful concise way. Porcupine Tree is all about soulful songwriting over wankery. That is very unusual for a progger.
I agree. "Song of I" literally quotes "We Do What We're Told" in the string break, and the remainder of that track sounds a lot like "Excellent Birds". So, probably no coincidence.
Sounds more like No-Man than any of his other projects. Perhaps the new stuff, judging by the recent 'Personal Shopper' release, will sound more like this?
Got a real Richard Barbieri vibe going. He really should get Rich on his band... Found these To the bone extra tracks just now... why the hell aren't these on the album? Man I just don't get this guy sometimes...
Pues la verdad me gustaron mas los bonus tracks, Steven Wilson es unico en su manera de hacer musica, la verdad dificil encontrar un artista de su talla
This man has a never ending creativity.
Goes to show how you can commit yourself to something when you have no family. You just have so much more time for everything.
Deathshuck He should donate his sperm. Probably got pretty decent genes.
Being without family does not give you more creativity. You seem to have a large family.
odd how I enjoy some of these bonus tracks more than some of the songs on the actual album. o.O

he had left over Bollywood dancers laying around, had to create something to use them
I always enjoy the B sides more?? So weird. Is there somewhere I can get all Wilson's bonus tracks?
I love this and pretty much all of his instrumental tunes. Collecting Space and Ambulance Chasing are probably my all time favorites, but there are SO many great ones in his discography.
Collecting Space is incredible. Untitled is one of my personal faves
Try 'Untitled' Spooky Instrumental. Enjoy. H
"Vermillioncore" comes in mind...
A little touch of Olias of Sunhillow by Jon Anderson on this, a great album, Steven is the master
Sophisticated and honest minimalism - love it
Merci à l émission taratata de m avoir fait découvrir ce bel artiste ..
Great track. I've seen Steven Wilson twice. Once with Porcupine Tree and once solo. Both times were amazing live shows. This track somehow reminds me a bit of B side of Bowies Heroes.
Definitivamente las ideas no se le van a este señor...talento por donde se le mire.
Love this one.
The Marty O'Donnell percussion is strong with this one.
Solid Snack I also thought it sounded like something on the Halo 3 soundtrack!
This is as good as the regular album!
This would have been the perfect interlude song between Song of I and Detonation. No clue why this wasn't put in...
Thank you so much, dude.
Love from India.
I think with all these great outakes a new lp is in the bag for 2018.
Reminds me of Ulver's Assassination of Julius Ceasar album. Similar in sound, and there is a track on it called 'Southern Gothic'
Gábor Holtzer Steven Wilson is a non-stop rip off from older stuff. He is good, but overrated.
I think you're selling him quite short there. How can he be overrated when he's not even in mainstream? Calling musicians with a cult following overrated is a huge contradiction.
Gábor Holtzer well, Justin Bieber has a cult following him.
Gutemberg Pedrosa He sure do bear his influences on his sleeve. But his influences are eclectic. And he is good at incorporating them in a soulful concise way. Porcupine Tree is all about soulful songwriting over wankery. That is very unusual for a progger.
Has mentioned inspiration by Peter Gabriel's album So. I was thinking about We do What We're Told when I heard this
I agree. "Song of I" literally quotes "We Do What We're Told" in the string break, and the remainder of that track sounds a lot like "Excellent Birds". So, probably no coincidence.
This song also has that little Talk Talk feel, it;s a beauty.
Elements of Olias of Sunhillow by Jon Anderson on this track , great tune
Boards of Canada - Happy Cycling
They should be a supreme influence for everyone who does electronic music.
Anyone else getting a Boards of Canada vibe?
Steven Loves Boards of Canada ! You're Right !
Def! Especially once the snare comes in. I'd bet he'd also admit them as an influence on this track.
This shouldn't have been cut from the main release!
This could/should have been the album's opening song.
Thomas De Meyer I can see that, but I think 2nd to last track would have been good too.
Could you please upload the album (with demos and bonus tracks) to uloz, or another page?
Buy it ! hermano ;)
Spotify is not free?
This is surely not on spotify, it's only in the limited edition release, only in the UK
¿Y dónde puedo comprar estas canciones de la cara B de "To The Bone"?
Can be Halo game soundtrack for the build up to new alien areas!
Reminds of the music in Unreal Championship for original xbox
If I didn't know any better I'd say this was inspired by the Lost Muse in Halo.
Sounds more like No-Man than any of his other projects. Perhaps the new stuff, judging by the recent 'Personal Shopper' release, will sound more like this?
Sounds like something from halo
Yeah, my exact thought aswell!
Kinda a The Incident-ish feel on the groove as well IMO.
Got a real Richard Barbieri vibe going. He really should get Rich on his band...
Found these To the bone extra tracks just now... why the hell aren't these on the album? Man I just don't get this guy sometimes...
Reminds me of the Halo 2 soundtrack
I get some Halo 3 vibes from it (never played the Halo 2 single player campaign)
Pues la verdad me gustaron mas los bonus tracks, Steven Wilson es unico en su manera de hacer musica, la verdad dificil encontrar un artista de su talla
Simple Minds - Someone up there likes you - kind of? Still genius
Sounds like No-Man which is great
Steven Wilson is the greatest satanic norwegian black metal artist.
could also be from an Album like "The sky moves sideways" or "Metanoia"
the real drama that such pearls are on Outtakes CD instead on the main CD replacing Permanating a.k.a 'bollywood' for example.
couple of these extra tracks are very porcupine tree...
With Out David Sylvain and Mick Karn and JBK Jansen 05Ric and many others Steven Wilson would NOT be where he is today!!!!!
