Mr Houston you wear fishing a tournament in Florida many years ago they call me up on stage and pick a name out of a bucket for the fisherman fishing the tournament.. to win a bass boat and I pick you awesome eeeeeeeee..that was very cool jimmy Houston is a great fisherman and a great guy .. Went through this with him , later I suffered through months of watching my wife die from a cancer caused by too many medical prescriptions. Her liver was covered in cancer when it was discovered , doctors gave her about two months to live when they found it . She last about two months and three weeks. She passed away January 30, 2023…we were married just a little over 42 years.
If you love the outdoors hunting and fishing you gotta love jimmy Houston been watching him my whole life hes a true American and a great man it your looki g for a roadmap on how to live follow his lifestyle and youll be on a path to Heaven.
My wife and I are almost at the end of a 3 plus year journey of being full time caregivers for my Mom. She had a stroke that robbed her of the ability to remember. It is s difficult thing to do, but we have no regrets for spending 3 plus years doing this. As I write this, she probably will not make it through this week before God takes her home.
I'm 68 years old and I have been watching his fishing shows back when I was a kid, not too long ago I met him at the bass pro shops in Pearland along with other pro fishermen at (by invitation only) at first I didn't want to go by myself to it ,but I'm glad I did.

As she lay in the ICU room that night, and I was laying across her bed asking God to give her back to me, I heard a voice speak to me. "You're praying for the wrong thing." I looked around...there was no one else in the room. I said out loud..."Praying for the wrong thing? What does that mean?" The voice replied "Genesis Chapter 22." Genesis Chapter 22? What does that mean? Then it hit me. That's where Abraham is called upon to sacrafice the thing he loves the most, his only son Issac. I then realized I was asking for the wrong thing. She didn't belong to me. I had no right to ask for her back. She belonged to Jesus. She had given herself to Jesus, long before she met me. I changed my prayer then. I told God she was His. Do with her as HE wanted. I would accept His will either way. "BUT! If You don't need her. I do. But I will praise You either way." Sandy survived and is still with me today. She's not the same was she was, but then neither am I. We are closer than we ever were. We're seldom out of each others sight. She loves to get me into an "argument." She look at me and say "You told God you wanted me back, so shut up." I'll wink and say, "Yes, but I never told you that He asked me "ARE YOUR SURE?" God Bless you and Chris Jimmy. May you have many more years together before you're called home to Glory.
It hard seeing your wife degrade in health and memory but we just have to remember "in sickness and in health" and do what you have to do to keep her in your life. Have enjoyed Jimmy’s videos for many years THANKS. 🇺🇸

I had a chance to fish with him one time but I was already at work if ft worth and it would have been a 40 minute drive to get back. I wish he would air that episode from Starr Hallow Ranch in Tolar Tx. Man I wish I would have been able to fish with him. 😢
Got to meet him at the opening of Bass Pro Shop in Maryland he talked to me about Crappie fishing like I was the only one that was in line !! I still have a bass pro shop shirt with his autograph !! Nice guy love his laugh and his devotion to his fans and his wife !! He’s an honest man who loves fishing !!
I went to a boat show in OKC once and Houston put on a casting exhibition. He cast a plug into a Styrofoam cup from a good distance with a flick of his wrist, time after time after time.
I had a supervisor who said he'd met most of the well known bass fishermen. He said Jimmy was the nicest , easiest to get along with pro he was around.

I watch your show. I lost my 2018 and my new love been battling cancer and she beat cancer. I told her NEVER GIVE UP. She took my advice. She going to get better.
I had the pleasure of meeting him and a group of other pro fishermen at the Bass Masters Superstars in Peoria, IL in 1993. I was Ray Scott's driver during that time.
Been watching Jimmy most of my 70 years. I believe he never staged a fish. But hard to believe at least some of his bloopers weren't. You would watch his show to see if he could stay in the boat. What a beautiful couple and an inspiration to all.
This man is a Legend. Any man that can get on Tv or radio or any social media and admit that God is so powerful and that God changed his life, Thats my kind of Human being !!
