Good on you on sharing your result. It's okay to feel upset. Along my journey, I failed exams and flight test, it is part of life. Not always sunshine and rainbow. I failed my first exam, which was the ATPL flight planning with 37%. Similar to your case, I know how to do everything but I was too slow and not accurate enough in between steps for calculation. I spent a solid 3 weeks, 3-6 hours everyday, to study and practice. I sat and finished the exam with 30 mins spare to go over everything a few times. I remembered I covered the computer screen when I hit submit, then I passed the second time with 93%, only one question wrong. My ground instructor was impressed with my improvement. I also failed my CPL flight test back in 2014 because of crosswind landing. My instructor and I worked on it and I passed my test with flying colours. I am glad I failed so I can fix my crosswind technique early on. I told all my students it is okay to make mistakes or fail early on in their flying journey, they can learn how to recognize and fix their mistakes, also they have instructors to guide them. We learn more from our failures than from our successes!
I'm sorry to hear man, really brave of you to post your results! I'm a full time student doing my CPL at the moment and performance was my first exam of the lot. This exam failed about half the class with how difficult it was. Just wanted to say don't let this keep you down as I see a lot of FULL time students without all the responsibilities you mentioned in this video still failing the exam, best of luck for the resit I know you will do well.
Jesus I probably shouldn’t have watched this the night before my CFPA exam! 😂 The similarities between my life and yours are uncanny. This one’s also my last CPL exam and I’ve rebooked it too many times. Take note guys/gals, when you don’t have a family and full time work this stuff is sooo much easier to punch out, take advantage of it! Wish me luck, I need it! Keep up the great vids. 🤙

CFPA is a tough one. I failed first time which I was kind of on the fence about it from the beginning just overall hoping for the best. I think a few factors played in to my failed from overall stress in the exam to fatigue from driving 1.5 hrs at 6am just to get to ASPEQ centre. I got 63% on my first one and passed second go with 73%. The second shot was much tougher than the first even after reviewing everything so just be prepared. I ended up writing out as many questions as I could just to ensure I didn’t misread anything. It really just wrecked my confidence when I failed especially after passing every single subject first go but sometimes we just have bad days. I found coming up with my own questions for stuff like echo loading and W&B to really help as it kept the process in me and I wasn’t rope learning practice exams. Best of luck for your next attempt I’m sure you’ll do great 👍

Ah it happens bro, I got the same result the first time I sat RPL, it was deflating for sure but dont give up on it. This comment is 6 months down the line so I hope you've resat it and passed with flying colours.
Best of luck for your next attempt I’m sure you’ll do great 👍
Hey BBrown, thanks mate I really appreciate it. That’s a good idea to come up with my own questions. I’ll try that one.
I also got 49 today was depressing.
