testudo only increase units’ health.
The health bar you see on the stat card of the unit.
When using the Testudo ability it doesn’t actually show you what it increases because CA doesn’t want you to know how lazy they incorporated the testudo system.
So it does help a lot more to units which didn’t fight compared to those who went on a death match.
Like your praetorian guard who is absolutely devastated in 36:40. It does very little.
If testudo was as good as in Rome 1 the Romans would be even more OP in RTW2 so CA just put in for sake of realism

In all honesty, they could have done a different battle system.
or
Shields could have worked differently, maybe the missile units carry more.
or
If the mechanics were more fine tuned, it would have been a great game.
It still is a fun game, but it could have been much more.
For me, I just wished it had more provinces and give Syracuse capital to have walls.
The shields also go on top which block things
@@andrelourenco3752 Rome 1 Testudo was impenetrable. I’m all for Rome 2 testudo because like you said balance but if they REALLY wanted to add it in they could have just made units with it very expensive because it is a pretty cool feature.

yooo apollo, friendly reminder again to check out the age of the ring mod for battle for middle earth, they remade the entire singleplayer campaign its one of the best gaming experiences you're gonna have, especially as a lotr fan.

I personally hate it when players manually take control of the siege equipment in multiplayer because doing so actually speeds of the reload of said siege equipment.
Not to mention that when a player controls the equipment then the artillery hits their target very frequently as opposed to when the Ai is in control in which case the siege equipment misses more often than not.
I think apollo is going crazy

Lmao can't believe this is not a scripted battle. I've been in many many rome 2 lobbies and never saw 3 players playing so bad at the same time especially on deff. Even the unit choice is wtf :D usually u get like 1 or 2 newbies not 3 at the same time and if I understood correctly these players know a thing or two about the game it must be a scripted battle lol.

there is no right or wrong way to play the mp in battles, as long as u have some fun imo, maybe epirus got bored of swordsman spam and wanna try the spearman units
