Snowmobile Tunnel Bags Quick Overview/ Comparison. Backcountry Snowmobile Gear for Beginners

A quick rundown on some of the differences in tunnel mounted shovel bags I have used over the past few years from manufacturers including BCA, linq, Backcountry Access, Ski-doo and Polaris.

Will this fit on an xm tunnel?

Depending on the bag, and they way you mount.
My sled is a '17 Summit with a 154" which I believe is an XM tunnel.
The SkiDoo bag does with the linq bases.
The Polaris IQ bag I bolted direct to the Linq holes (no linq base).
The Black BCA bag I had to add the linq latches which was pretty simple and it snaps on to the linq base easy.
I never mounted the Gray/ Green BCA bag.

Did the ski doo bag rub some pain off tunnel?

Not in my case but it didn't see much use. Since it does contact the paint, it certainly is possible but with that area staying wet/snowy while riding friction is probably at a minimum.
