Jim, I used Sem trim black on my E46 sedans rear trim and diffuser and it looks perfect but it doesn't have a tough finish. I recommend using Krylon Matte Finish clear for an easily wipable and semi chemical resistant finish that still has that OEM+ look.

The a/c in that thing is sooooo not bad 👌 some factory a/c lines are so big bulky and ran all around and on top of things. Like you said at least it's all fresh now and contained to one side tucked nicely all together and doesn't look bad at all and it's so worth having it

I do Hvac and I’m glad your putting a/c in the car. Just pull a good vacuum and charge by weight the amount your hvac system calls for

You need to replace the AC Dryer, they have very brittle paper inside and once the system is discharged and they sit open it dries out and won't work properly
I’m sure vapor honing it helped dry it out :-P

Dunno if anyones mentioned it but that “evaporator” as actually a receiver drier… it’s job is to trap any moisture that shouldn’t be but might be in the ac system. They’re supposed to be replaced by time or if the ac system is open to atmosphere for more than a few hours.

use the shrink type hose clamps to cover the logo , gates make great quality ones, look awesome too

I've got a SR NeoVVL valve cover right up the road from you. It used to be one one of the many SR's that live in Mark Merliss' Smurf. It's an original valve cover though, not the 20v style. But it's got heritage.

run twin side mounts in front of each fended well. if not that, you could run an air-to-water but then have to deal with a reservoir and heat exchanger

Break clean and scotch pad will take the isr logo off
Jimmy you could use the heat shrink type of hose clamp to cover those isr logos and it would look clean af cause no hose clamps

@17:26, refreshed pully is clean, HOWEVER, you should use a paint marker (white, orange or yellow) to mark youre desired timing indicator so when you are setting your mechanical timing it is SUPER F'N easy to locate and set your degree with timing light as the paint marker will almost glow with the timing light contrasted against the black pulley. this is THE CHEAT CODE for making base timing a breeze to set. i do this on every car i work on now. OP as fuck!!

Nah I've watched every single Tommy video about that Dry Ice machine but he's always already working on clean cars (cause Tommy) this was a real eye opener on the technology. (there was also Will's N54 Engine but like that shit needed prep before it got hit by anything)

Hey Jimbo a little lacquer thinner should take those logos off the coolant hoses. I’ve done it on a few different ones before. Might be worth a try 🤷♂️
