I bought one for the wife and kids and not gonna lie ..it picks up QUICK for a 2.0 3rd row SUV ...it's very spacious and got it for 39k ...That's a Deal these days with my APR at around 3.9%
1:26 The direct injectors (black body connectors with the red clips) are mounted on the back (left side) of the cylinder head in front of the turbo heatshield.
Does a bottom panel need to be removed to access the oil pan and drain plug? Basically, can you make a video describing an oil change on this same vehicle. Thanks
Same. Can you post a video showing oil change? I want to shorten the recommended 10k intervals and don’t want to pay them every $5k. What oil does it use, how much oil, filter model etc.
@@benito5125The typical procedure is to suck the oil out of the dipstick tube and not drain it from the bottom because all 2 liters have had plastic drain plugs which leak if not replaced. But it takes 6 quarts of oil a 32mm socket for the filter and it doesn’t have a dipstick from factory so you would have to buy your own of those.
I'd recommend NOT sucking the oil from the dipstick tube. I went to do my first oil change at 900 miles and it is leaking oil! Would have never known there was a leak if I pulled it from the tube. Anything that leaks oil after 900 miles is just trash. Wish I had never purchased.
@@moparmuscl Leak was caused by bad PCV valve, which caused the turbo inlet tube gasket to blow! It was dripping off the bottom of the engine. Car is still in shop, everything is backordered.
I am curious of the reliability of this engine vs the prior 3.6 VR6..
I love the under - the - hood review, very helpful
did you check the oil level through the dip stick? :D there is no dipstick on 2024 models
Pass.
We’ll do u think it’s good engine?
lol, he didnt say.
🚮
I spoke to a VW mechanic they did say it's better then the previous models
Much less complicated than other engines

Thank you for the information, very interesting. Just one question: VW 2.0T is it DI only?
This one is DI only
@@TDTVGarage Thanks.
2:01 EU has the PDI. You can clearly see the housing provision for the port injector at the bottom of each intake runner.
This motor IS20 or IS38 turbocharger?
This gonna be thirsty in town and if towing. Sales will drop. If european Touareg still have V6 keeping with new emision limits US can have it too

Is carbon build up an issue on these engines ?
Only in the internet
Can I put any engine upgrades and maintain my warranty
Depends on what the upgrades are but not usually no. German brands are particularly averse to that.
Plastic or metal oil pan?!?
2:40 there is NO OIL DIPSTICK.
how the hell this engine takes regular fuel and makes more horsepower then my A5 with 261 hp, which only takes premium fuel??? Both EA888 EVO4
He said high compression. 🤔 Cast iron blocks and aluminum heads do God's work.
@@tingokuman having high compression is good for efficiency, but it lowers power output and requires high quality fuel.
It just does.

Leaking from where? I just changed oil at about 2,500 miles and noticed an oil leak on the output of the transmission that goes to the rear diff.

Well... At least you are still under warranty... 😬@@lieslgiorgio8450
So basically to check your oil level… You have to Remove the plastic Cover??🤔
no you have to go into the infotainment system to see the level electronically.. because there is no dip stick on 2024
@@Vw20249 Thanks. was curious about.
@Vw20249 correct ...i have one and the wife loves it
@@chinoxSD Thanks
@@Vw20249 you can get the dip stick separately. Simply remove the plug and install the dip stick
