I’d recommend many things for the boat with the finances to make it happen. Call it the “Parker Left-Coaster” Pilot House version 26’
    - Yamaha Electric steering motor(s) that also can spot lock or be easier to keep the bow on a static direction by use of the computer steering.
    - ‘Digital Steering EX’ control at main helm position and a outside steering. No steering wheel outside a real breakthrough in space on the stern.
    - Sliding pocket aft door so the inside and walls can be utilized with a wider opening so the traditional grip handle doesn’t recess in for the ease of use with lock ability.
    - Deck kill box and fitted to keep bulk ice longer with an interior Chill plate option.
    - Transom bracket with floatation that acts like a stepped hull with enlarged trim tabs. I also like a stepped hull design but would require a new hull design and subsequent molds.
    - Increased storage inside under seat base with two ‘Air Wave’ seat bases with a chair with padded armrests that fold up and a bolstered high back seat that reclines and swivels. All the whistles.
    - Welded cabin window frame to maximize windows around and to offer a tinted Low-e glass.
    - Windshield wipers with fresh water sprayers built in.
    - Larger screen option dash with a center or passenger location for others inside to use and see too with remote mouse built into the captains armrest.
    - Higher roof by 3” and interior finished gloss with a chase area built in for internal wiring.
    - Stern areas of deck to wrap around motor area so fighting of fish can be done.
    - Exterior kill bag base in the motor well for bigger fish.
    - Side access door Port/Starboard.
    - Deck movable pocket canopy (sunshade) that also allows for upper roof rod holder to be used at the same time.
    - Deck gunnel rod storage cabinets that lock.
    - 1-1/4” Stainless steel bow rail with toe areas if the deck design allows.
    - Radar lift that is actuated to raise and lower to allow better imaging (if blocked with rods, or life raft ect...)
    - Rear deck toe kicks with led weight bins and beverage positions lower.
    - Color gel coat decks for less reflective quality.
    - Interior cabin drawers depending on layout.
Great idea to talk about the dream boat that still can be trailered.
    Cheers
    J.

Guys just buy a different boat with all the features you want if they put all of that in the parkers they’ll be just as much money as a new intrepid plus they’re never going to switch from wood and if they cut all those holes in the decks, everything will rot out

Need more insulated fish boxes long enough to hold large wahoo and kings. Maybe in the floor. Definitely need 2 large live wells. A built in functional tackle box system would be awesome. I would probably mount it to the back of the cabin (rear facing) towards the fishing deck. Ideally it would be adjustable to hold various plano style box sizes with slots for knives, crimpers, pliers, scissors, etc. Also the back of the cabin can be used to mount additional rod racks so you don't have to transport rods up top where they can get broken off by trees or laid on the floor for them to get slung around.

I see 18 people doing the resin injection boat so not buying the "less labor intensive" part but I see a crapload of plastic trash being generated using vacuum bagging. It does prevent using too much resin in the layup.

On the 2520. Fish box too small. Add an in Hull fish box aft of fuel tank. Move batteries and main switches out of bilge! Wire cancer! Make anchor box drain out of boat. Not into the bilge that is otherwise dry. Remember the batteries and switches. Side cleats too far forward. Should be reachable from deck. CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!!!! I used to be able to call the factory and speak to Eric Denton or someone and they blow me off and tell me to call my dealer. Love the boats. Rock solid.

I have one of the last 2018 2120 SC's before Correct Craft purchased Parker. I am having an aluminum reinforcement fabricated for the back rest of the middle stern seat. This seat option/accessory is not built well. From day 1, my opening portholes in the V-berth have leaked. It is a poor design that requires compression of the gasket (no gutters). My Bomar opening windshield windows have always leaked (have had to use clear silicone). The bomar exterior gaskets in general are not a tight fit. The only other complaints are: The toilet would be better suited as a non-pumpout (eg. easier to empty on a whim), the rear speakers leave more to be desired, and there was no standard 12V outlet or depth gauge (had to add- and now 12V is standard). Other than that, we absolutely love our 2120 and have had some amazing adventures offshore around the Great Lakes. I don't mind the splash well at all as it keeps the LOA at 26'. We've had the max 10 people out for shorter cruises and it's suitable. For a couple or a family of 4, its seriously all you need. Super economical with fuel, and easy to tow (w/ a Toyota Tundra). Great video.

Extend that 2320 cab to add a seat behind captain, and a head next to the bench. Squeezing a proper head into the boat really makes it more usable for longer days or multi days.
    Enclose the cuddy.
    In floor fish boxes.
    A decent bait/rigging/tool station

Some of these things mentioned like higher roof makes the boat handle unsafely. If you make it too high then the boat becomes too top heavy. I think the anchor pulpit removal is a good idea and they can make those changes pretty easily. They definitely need to up their game in better materials. I think they are way overprices these days for what they are. One thing that many have mentioned is fish boxes on sides of deck and I heard in 2023 they are coming out with a 24ft cabin with fishboxes on both sides. So they must have heard us because they are making changes.

Well you're talking about Parker completely redesigning their boats. I have a Parker and would love in deck fish boxes that can hold wahoo's. Removing the Bow pulpit and hide the windless is a great idea. More storage in the V berth is certainly needed, they only give you two very small holds on each side under the cushions on the 2520. Shore power added along with a small marine air conditioner from the factory. Since a lot of people wind up adding it anyway and run the ac with a small portable generator. The 2530 does come with shore power. My 2520 has a small galley in it with a sink and refrigerator and 14gl fresh water tank. I'm going to completely customize my pilothouse and make new cabinets and make more storage and upgrade to a 20gl water tank. This is coming soon it will also hide my ac unit. Eventually i'll do away with the monkey fur and paint it a nice color with marine paint. I don't like the molded steps, it takes away from the fitment of custom tackle stations. However' the steps are now growing on me, as i use them. lol I knew all this before i bought my Parker, and bought it anyway. But if they're going to build a fishing boat, add the stuff fisherman need.

  • @brucerufner1081
    @brucerufner1081 ปีที่แล้ว

I’ve recently added a 2820. Parker out west I was really attracted to the small pilot house and lots of deck space. My bigest issues I see is stern hatch is two small to access the bilges battery’s and the all important connections to all electrical maintence and emergency. Big boat should be easy access. My north river with the reverse chime handles so much better when surfing the 10 to 15 ft steeps we run on bar crossing. The Parker wants to turn sideways and are swells are extremely steep. The rough ride I’m ok with but we have solid air ride seats in are offshore aluminum boats. This seating system is being changed on my boat and I’m adding matching motor bracket for long trolling days for salmon and tuna. Fuel economy and slow troll saving the big Yamaha's for running.with the raised deck and towering waves while fishing there is no way it’s safe to not have solid rails as standard equipment just for saftey.we use downriggers a lot for deep water trolling and most boats have pre made brackets to mount downriggers and crab pot pullers.. These boats in the 2820 or larger would sell like crazy out here. The small cabin and large deck space would fly out the door. There is tons of money here and it’s also very expensive but there is tons of money flowing at boats in the 400 k and up range. The little accessories are crucial also hot water stern storage boxes lockers bait cutters fish holds boxes with crane attachments.

Get the head (toilet) out from the V berth. If two people are sleeping they both have to get out to use the head. If there are more than two... Find a Place under an extra seat out of the berths. Stop putting carpet as liner in the cabin. It collects humidity and turns moldy quick Paint the cabin white instead. Or gelcoat it or epoxy it. Does not need to be shiny (reflective). A satin finish is best.
