Great answers . I love how you can Mod your vehicle in so many ways and not be illegal. I remember telling you about my 1st day in Pattaya and finding myself in the middle of a sting operation. So Yes when those cops surrounded you during lockdown I would be very freaked out.
6:54 I think eSIMs are an example of normalising high prices. I can usually get a week's data on my AIS SIM card for about 25 baht. (Sometimes 10GB, sometimes much less, depending on their offers.) That's about A$1. The cheapest eSIM I've seen advertised was about A$6 for 1GB for a week. (It's still cheap, but it's 6x for a tenth the data.) Airalo has 50GB for 10 days for A$15, but that's about 10x as much per day for more data than I would ever want.
Has nothing to do with price. Esims are the same cost as physical sims. The reason for esims is security. They can't do sim swap or steal your SIM card.
@@1TechCritic420 You can get a local eSIM, but most people referring to them mean the tourist ones you buy on web sites before you arrive. If someone steals your phone, it doesn't matter which type it is using. The security difference is minimal. (However, the potential inconvenience of eSIMs is enormous. If your phone gets broken, it's very easy to just switch your SIM into a working phone. If you have eSIMs, you have to try to get them replaced, meaning you have to contact each company's customer service. A huge hassle when travelling and a huge risk with all the 2FA by SMS these days.)
Hey bud! I've been enjoying your videos. They're a good cross of beers, cars and life. I have a request as a Canuck that's lived in Asia for 20+ years....my request is do a food vlog back in Oz. Go to the places YOU were keen on when you were back home. The mom'n pop places back home are just as interesting as SEA. Respect, doggy.
Ah nice man, good suggestion, I had some gems in Sydney Chinatown; but not sure how much time I’ll spend in the city this trip, if I am there, it’s an awesome idea!
My missus used to spend 200 a week on lotto, 2 years ago I convinced her to spend it on bitcoin (its still gambling) So every week for two years, she bought BC. now she thinks she is a genius.
If you won 6 million on the lottery you might have trouble cashing it in,I have had a couple of minor wins, 2000 baht, I couldn’t cash it in even at the Farmers Bank as I was a foreigner. The shop I bought them from cashed them in but I had too pay a fee to them.
Have a great time back in Oz with the Fam mate. Merry Xmas to you and heres to 200k subs in 2025 🎉
Local beach bar just a great spot on the beach in Bangkok Tao , love it

Grew up in NZ and the vehicle inspections (WoF) were a pain in the ass. The state I live in the US has zero vehicle inspections! Different for sure.
Yeah man we can literally do ANYTHING here, it makes it so fun
Lived in Thailand since 2002 and my best that story is a cop in Phuket
Off subject question: your phone looks larger than the normal Samsung, etc. I am curious because I have large hands and am currently using a Doogee.
Happened to me 3 times twice got pulled out of a taxi, 🚖 I gave up my bag, spoke Thai was respectful and never resisted just gotta deal with it
I act the same way back in my home country with the cops. Never had a problem.
