Hi and thanks for this video: I want to help an elderly person (82) by a Go Chair. However the batteries are dead and I don't want to buy the chair unless the motors work. This chair has 2 motors and two levers to disengage the motors. I was wondering if I could test the disengaged motors just using two 12V power supplies.

If the motors are disengaged, it would not move. They would have to be in gear and with power to the chair, it should move. As long as you have 24V of power going to the joystick and motors it should work.

I’m just starting with a company as a power chair and scooter tech. Is there any resource you know of to help me with in the field troubleshooting? I have co workers and tech support to call but I was looking for my own resources to study.

I have a jazzy select / pride jet 3 ultra and plug looks different. It's four big spades and two are thin wires. They appear to be read open no Ohamge the motors ohm out closer to 0.5 or zero but it's old old old cheap analog ohm meter

I would double check with another volt meter. If you get 0.4-0.5 you should be good, if its lower than that or isn't consistent and fluctuating then you may have an issue with them.

I have a Permobil M3 Corpus ! When i put the motors to neutral when stopping it clicks which is the brake solenoid applying the brakes ! My problum is when applying the brakes they take a long time distance wish to slow to a Stop ! its like the linings are worn and need adjusting , how do i adjust the brakes so they work properly again ? The manual does not show how to adjust That's the part i can read After my dogs had a chew on the book ,god bless them ))

For this you would have to get it into a tech at a local mobility store to connect it to a computer to program it and it will take care of the distance it takes to stop. Hope this helps!
