I had a problem with my wheelchair after I changed the batteries and could not work out what had gone wrong. I emailed Tom, and following a telephone call with him, I could follow his instructions to resolve the issue. He gave this guidance freely and I am indebted to him. Great service
After replacing the battery - is not moving.. has power, but.. not going forward or reverse. i put it on brake or on neutral.. is beeping, but.. not moving. And brushes are ok.. Any suggestion?
What an impressive video. I wish Tom was my next door neighbor ( only joking Tom ) Really impressed with your knowledge and simple but effective way of teaching. High praise indeed.
Thank you for sharing this with us. I have the same scooter as that one, and yesterday the same thing happened to mine. ie: it seemed too loose power like the batteries were flat, then just died. So now i am 99% sure that i need new brushes in my motor. Happy days :-)
Tom is great when i had issues with my last scooter he told me what i needed and i was able to order that parts from him. i will probably need some bearings soon he is the man who i will call.
Fantastic video again Tom, thanks for taking the time and for sharing the know how. Your channel has helped me out many times! Great that the parts are available on your website too. Not many offering that kind of service these days!
I had the same problem. I did not dismantle it. I watched you for 10 minutes. I turned it over on its side. I poked it. I looked for loose wires. No loose wires I can see. Poke poke poke. I see a switch I press the switch. I see a small black box labelled "Solax" with a rubber cap that is a little off, I put the rubber cap back on the black box where it seems to have fallen off on one side. I turn the scooter upright. No more 9 flashes. No flashes at all. One beep. Usually there are 2. Now it moves forward only clicks when I try to reverse. Rinse, repeat the above. Now it works fine. I have no idea what I did besides pray then watch you then pray thanks. So, thanks. After I got mine working, I watched this very good video. What are the brushes called, just brushes? I live in Israel. Do I tell the tech to check the little metal parts with springs on them that come in pairs and connect to the motor under the seat or what? Aviva in Akko
Oh, thank you so much for showing this! My Drive Medical Bobcat x4 scooter has been sort of dragging lately and I was wondering if something like this was going on. We don’t have a maintenance or repair service anywhere near where I am so I’m trying to learn how to care for it using internet and TH-cam videos like yours. So thanks again!
Great video. A tip for any machine screw, to seat it properly before attempting to screw it in. turn it anti-clockwise slowly until you feel it click, that means the screw thread has aligned with the nut/seat thread, now turn it clockwise and it will screw in and not cross-thread.
Very nice demonstration. Love the subtitles and appreciate the accent. Well done fine workman's ship . This video was very instructive and informative. Thanks for pointing out the tools names and parts necessary to get the job done
Fellow scot over in Oz with a mobility puzzle. Great video that has already helped. My issue? 3 month old batteries. Batteries good. Battery charger working. Tyres at right pressure. Can charge it up to green. But for the last couple of weeks, only getting short distance at full speed before it flashes, quickly drops to the red zone, and will only crawl along. But when I stop, the battery is still showing green.. Now thinking brushes. It's a Medicare Evolution and cannot find them anywhere on the web. Think they might relate to shoprider?
@@tomjacques4 Will do but took the brushes out today. 4 of them and all as black as coal. Have cleaned everything as per your video. Test drive in the morning.

All that aside, thank you so much for the time and effort in doing the video. I have a Care Go I accidentally pushed the forward Lead Cable that goes to Control Female Plug into the Rear Female Plug which goes to the Motor , there was a few sparks , obviously it would not fit in the the Rear Plug ,result is It won’t drive from the Control levers and iHave a Flashing green Light when switched on . Is the Motor Burnt out , the Battery Fuse never Blew ?
Hi i would remove a dust cap and smell it . but dont think its burnt out as a flash will not cause that. check all fuses and connections. check continuity of motor and brake.
Took my gogo travel scooter to a technician and he found that the battery was the problem after 3 years, technician took me the scooter was beeping different codes before putting on a used battery
Hello, I have been following your diagnostic instructions, and have got the scooter, “alive” there is no fault indication except the blue light is on. It does try to move but very very slowly, ant ideas on why it won’t go very fast.? Mick.🤔
Hi check speed pot, throttle pot. High low switch if it has one. If more than 2 brushes then check all of them. Check to see if brake is not binding on
@@tomjacques4 Thank you for the ideas, is the speed pot the wig wag, and the throttle pot the low to high speed. Do you know what the center ohms should be for the throttle lever for Tzora Titan? My dad in law has one and it won't start. This all began after he hit a pot hole and it fell off the bumper hitch rack. It has a flash code of 7 which says the throttle is not being seen in neutral. I replaced the potentiometer for that but didn't know exactly what ohms to set the pot for neatrual. And the code still persist. The old one read like 2.757 k ohms so I set it as close to that as I could but didn't think it was right since it was triggering the flash code.
What you mean conductive? Electric ⚡️ shocks. Never heard that before. Mind you could be what’s she’s is wearing build up of static. or has the surface changed on what the scooter is driving.
Hi mate sorry to bother you,but can you please tell me where the horn is on my mercury regatta mobility scooter. Is it built in the switch or is there a actual horn somewhere on the scooter. Thanks
Well, Tom, guess this fault. I have a Vectra Sport is 2 months old from new (Jan 2023) has been used once only due to stormy weather, and has 1.5 miles on the clock. Today was warm and no wind, So I decided to run the scooter to the shops, and eave the car at home. Out I went, and from the beginning I knew something was not right. The Vectra is supposed to chug along at 8mph. It is barely making 2mph, and the slow speed is a real crawl. Thinking I had duff batteries, I bought two new 50Amph units that cost £270. Same thing. Any ideas where to start looking? Regards, Sue.
Hi , I’ve managed to do a few repairs on my families mobility scooters after following your videos, but I am at a loss, and can see nothing that covers the problem on two of the scooters. That is when you go out in it after a short time 2/3 minutes they slow down, and loose their speed. I have replaced the batteries but has made no difference. The batteries were a last resort after your suggestion re’ replacing batteries to soon. Have you any idea what it could be.? Mick.

Hi . Advice please I have a AIRLITE X care co 4mph . My problem is when I turn the key on the green light will come on, also battery level displays. Also horn works, I turn it of and then the green light doesn’t come on , but the battery level displays . If I take out the three pin cable that connects to the battery port and take out and push back in , sometimes the green light will come back on , but sometimes doesn’t. I have carried out continuity tests on the 3pin cable back to the control box Continuity is ok . Advice please . Appreciated Thank you . Bruce
There is a lever to lock or unlock the rear wheels. When in use, it needs to be in the locked position for the scooter to move. With the power on (so the break would not engage) he moved the switch to the unlock position so he could push the scooter forward or back to clean the comutator. Then blew out the dust.
I’m interested in learning how to fix and service scooters to a professional level. Can you suggest the best route into learning? Is there a series of courses or is it learning on the job?
You will have to speak with the suppliers they sometimes have training courses on there products. Also you will need a background in electrical engineering. That will help. Motor vehicle etc
I've just bought an Invacare Leo Mobility Scooter it's in excellent shape but for one thing, that is on pavements which slant often towards to road it's a Nightmare as it tries to throw me off into the traffic. Have you any ideas what might be the problem? I must admit our pavements are extremely uneven where I live in Bournemouth and slope

Good video, but I'm working on an old Zoom 220 that has sat unused for 10-15 years. I replaced the batteries, and the fuse is good. But all it does is "click" in the reset button. The horn beeps, but that's it. Could something have deteriorated in that unused time? Thank you!
Hi, the reset button should not make a noise. (Mind you it will make a noise when it trips but you will notice this as it pops out). Technically it is a thermal trip in case there is an electrical issue. The button should pop out around 5mm and then you will find that you will not get any power to the scooter until you press it back in. You sure the clicking noise is coming from the trip switch/circuit breaker or is it coming from the main control box or electric brake.
@@tomjacques4 Thanks so much for the info. I will check on that... there is no thermal sensor in this one that is taped to a battery. I made a mistake when I first got the cover off, in not taking a photo of the wiring. There's a blue wire from the socket that goes somewhere to the right, but I don't know where to attach it. Thank you for any further help!

Shubudebubop hi recon your from the states. It will depend what controller is fitted. Usually means charger is connected to the scooter. But recon you would of noticed that. So may be an issue with your controlller. Let us know what controller is fitted please.
@@tomjacques4 Thank you for your quick reply. The scooter is not plugged in. So by controller are you referring to the throttle pot? I did read that 6 beeps could mean I started it with the throttle engaged, and to shut it off and start again. However, I did that and have not touched the throttle at all.
Shubudebubop morning no the controller is the main module under the rear body panel where all the wires plug in. Check all Connection from the charging socket to the controller. There may be a short. Have you been caught out in the rain?
@@tomjacques4 It may have been, my Dad picked it up a few months ago and he recently passed away, less than two weeks ago. He never was able to get it going "due to an error code 6" (which I assume was the 6 beeps that I hear) He thought it meant the batteries. However, I have got the batteries all charged up and they appear to be holding. So I read the 6 beeps could be throttle pot, but seeing as you mentioned the controller I'd like to check that before ordering something I don't need. I just decided to take this on as a project and wish I would've tried helping my Dad with it before. Thank you for your advice. Is there a way to check, or even repair the controller without getting a new one?
Shubudebubop let me know what type of controller is fitted. If you are unsure then send us a picture. Controllers can be repaired. But check the wires and all connectors for corrosion especially the multi plug that fits to the controller Etc.

@@alexlaws2290 so its an intermittent fault can be kind of a pain. I would replace the throttle pot just in case but you dont have one to test so you could try and swap the outside 2 wires on the throttle pot . this will make the wig wag levers work in opposite to identify if the pots at fault.
I have a victory pride 10 3 wheel mobility scooter when in rabbit gear by the beeps it says current limit what could it be . Checked the brushes and good , do you have a clue.
Great videos. I have a 3 wheel 24-volt scooter. The problem is the all 4 lights on the battery power indicator don't come on and the battery is fully charged. When I first turn it on all four lights come on and then 2 of them turn off with a full charge. Can you advise, please? Batteries are showing 26-volt charged.
Tom Sommer I would test them voltage at the tiller. To ensure no voltage drop. Most likely a bad / slack connection or due to corrosion or water damage. So with that in mind check all connections, ignition barrel also check for voltage all the way. Best of luck.
hi tom my father has a invacare meteor, anyway one day he came in and said it was going fast then would automatically go slow the turtle light would go off and speed up again video on you tube said it was the potentiometer in the wigwag so i dimantled it and replaced it with a brand new item reassembled it and problem persists ive checked wiring all seems ok no warning lights to indicate problem i contacted local mobility expert he said potentiometer needs setting up he said when i put it together it might not be centred properly so i took it to him on trailer he said it could be the press pads on control panel one of the tracks might be split he said he would do what he can. on the way out he said if he could not repair it he had another one for sale my father is a pensioner with ailing health and all these people think about is there wallets not about getting a pensioner out and about his isnt broke it works perfectly albeit the fast and slow problem please advise philip....
Sounds like he wants to sell your dad another scooter. Ok so I recon you set the pot like in our videos. If so then it really should not do it again. So it not the pot then. Those scooters are common for faulty motor wires they heat up and start to burn just where they go into the motor also the brake could be binding on. Would need to do a video chat with you when you have it back.
If the turtle light goes on/off by itself then there just could be a problem with the touchpad water getting in or a broken wire in the touchpad. Under the button. So the only way to test this is with another touch pad which we have. Or there could be an issue with the tiller pcb. There is a ribbon connection to the touchpad there could be a crack in there but personally think it could be the touchpad

I have a fairly new CTM HT-1500 mobility scooter and it has been left on the charger for quite a while. Now the yellow charging light flashes and it won't turn on. Can you assist me?
@@tomjacques4 My charger has a red light that says (On or Flashing) = Fault Yellow: (On= normal charging) Yellow: Flashing= No battery or incorrect battery fitted Green: On= Fully charged. batteries ready for use. Does it hurt if I have left the charger on for over a month?
Lee Derouen looks like there is no voltage at the charging socket. Use a multi meter and insert the probs into the 2 outside holes number 1&3. You should get a reading dc voltage. If no voltage then check all wires leading to the controller then back to the batteries. Also check wires to the circuit breaker
mmmmmm could be a few things ... 1. will it do it every time even if fully charged so when the scooter is cold . 2 any slack connections, 3 could be a faulty circuit breaker.4. anything overheating maybe a worn motor check this, feel to see if anything is hot to touch. hope this helps.
@@tomjacques4 it had a 5A circuit breaker in it, I only had a 20A to hand so i put it on. It has a throttle problem as when i turn it on without sitting on it)if i depress the forwards very slowly it has a long dead spot and starts beeping, doesnt happen if set off fast Maybe it had 2 problems? I will see if the pot spring is ok if not order a new throttle. If it does the trick i will put the 5a fuse back in to see if thats ok

i have a shoprider Paris when you turn ignition on all okay won’t go forward goes backwards for about five seconds then just bleeps constantly any ideas
christopher stearman mmm possible throttle pot. As it will not go forward but will go backwards. Can you touch the throttle lever just a fraction in rev. With the same effect compared to full rev. Throttle
Nithsdale Wheelchairs V If you are referring to the power box all the Wires go into it is a dynamic if it helps with diagnostics it does not bleep when reverse is Selected
christopher stearman hi the flash code indicates throttle error. The power module can be programmed to peep in rev. Or not. Check all connections are secure and free of corrosion. If you see rust then it may be contaminated. Check throttle pot and speed pot as they are connected. Have the speed pot at the slowest setting then test. Then slightly increase it then test again. Do this until they have it set at full speed. If no change then it most likely be the throttle pot. Hope this helps.
The clicking noise should be coming from the end of the motor. When you start to drive you should hear a click that’s the electric brake disengaging when you stop and let go of the wig wag lever another click that’s the brake coming on stopping from moving. Hope that helps.

Great video. A tip for any machine screw, to seat it properly before attempting to screw it in. turn it anti-clockwise slowly until you feel it click, that means the screw thread has aligned with the nut/seat thread, now turn it clockwise and it will screw in and not cross-thread.

But when I stop, the battery is still showing green.. Now thinking brushes. It's a Medicare Evolution and cannot find them anywhere on the web. Think they might relate to shoprider?

Do you know what the center ohms should be for the throttle lever for Tzora Titan?
My dad in law has one and it won't start. This all began after he hit a pot hole and it fell off the bumper hitch rack.
It has a flash code of 7 which says the throttle is not being seen in neutral.
I replaced the potentiometer for that but didn't know exactly what ohms to set the pot for neatrual.
And the code still persist. The old one read like 2.757 k ohms so I set it as close to that as I could but didn't think it was right since it was triggering the flash code.
Is the aerosol electrical spray useful for cleaning brushes like this as well?
You would clean the brushes with a clean rag. Blow out the carbon dust out of the motor
You give advice? Mom has a mobility scooter. It's suddenly conductive now. What's the issue? It hurts now to even touch metal parts
What you mean conductive? Electric ⚡️ shocks. Never heard that before. Mind you could be what’s she’s is wearing build up of static. or has the surface changed on what the scooter is driving.

Thinking I had duff batteries, I bought two new 50Amph units that cost £270. Same thing. Any ideas where to start looking? Regards, Sue.
Batteries have nothing to do with the speed. Contact your suppliers as the scooter will be under warranty.

I turn it of and then the green light doesn’t come on , but the battery level displays .
If I take out the three pin cable that connects to the battery port and take out and push back in , sometimes the green light will come back on , but sometimes doesn’t.
I have carried out continuity tests on the 3pin cable back to the control box
Continuity is ok .
Advice please .

This is absolutely brilliant. Which one of the plugs silences the reverse beeping?
This model has an extra horn
for the reversing and is on the rear frame just listen to where it’s coming from and disconnect it.
Thanks alot I learned a so much as a machine this was very easy cheers.
At 8:40, how did you get the motor to spin but the scooter to not move? What did you disconnect so it can do that? Great video, learning a lot!
I have that question also. Thanks

Does cleaning it like this remove enough of the carbon in between the commutator's spaces?
Hi, no it does not, only cleans the surface. Once cleaned spin the commutator and blow out the with air that will get all the rest of the carbon out.

Your Other Problem Could Be That Your Wiring AND/OR Components May Have Developed Electrical Corrosion.. You See.. When You Store Electrical Equipment Of Any Type For Long Periods (LIKE 10 TO 15 YEARS.) You Must Make Sure That The Batteries That Power The Equipment IS NOT CONNECTED.. In Fact? It Would Be Better Served To COMPLETELY REMOVE THE BATTERY FROM THE EQUIPMENT.. Because Even If The Equipment Is In THE OFF POSITION?
There Is Still Electrical Current Flowing In The Wiring.. Even Though It's A Tiny Amount? It's Still Flowing Throughout The Electronic Equipment.. This Tiny Current Will Tend To Cause Corrosion In The Electronic Components.. We've All Seen What Happens To Car Batteries.. Well The EXACT SAME PRINCIPLE APPLIES TO ALL ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT THAT IS POWERED BY BATTERIES. THE FUNDAMENTAL LAWS OF ELECTRICITY DO NOT CHANGE..
So.. I'd Suggest You Open Up The Scooter And Look And The (1) Wiring Harnesses, (2) The Battery And (3) The Connectors To Make Sure No Corrosion Has Occurred In The 10 to 15 Years.. Because To Be Quite Honest? That SOUNDS LIKE WHAT HAPPENED.. And If It Did Happen.. It's An Easy Fix.. You'll Have To (1) Get New Batteries. And (2) Clean Of All The Corrosion.. The Colors Of The Corrosion Is Usually Green Or White Or Both.. If The Corrosion Is To Bad Where As It Has Disintegrated The Wiring? You'll Only Have One Of Two Choices.. That Is To Either Get New Wiring Harnessing? Or Throw It Out.. Here You Go th-cam.com/video/vq7W-CcdmgU/w-d-xo.html
Good Luck.. And, Remember.. The Laws Of Electricity Are A Constant/DO NOT CHANGE...

The scooter turns on no problem and it still has drive but the the power level is at 1 out of 5 bars and not sure if its the battery that need replaced. Any ideas would be welcome.cheers.
Hi check to ensure there Is voltage at the charging socket also some have inline fuses close to the batteries check the battery compartment
Hi i have a shoprider 889sl mobility scooter when driving it cuts out then starts peeping i have to turn it off then back on again then it fine then it dose it again wot would you say up with it please

I have a Wispa which appears dead. No power light. Batteries replaced , circuit breaker replaced , key switch replaced , all fuses checked , still absolutely dead , no power lights , nothing . Any ideas?
Hi. Great video. Thank you. I just want to have an advice: do you recommand the Sp1 programmer? Is it really useful or is it more like a toy? Thank you.
Hi I prefer the PC software. but the Sp1 is a handy took for quick on-site adjustments and to read the fault codes. Hope that helps
@@tomjacques4 That helps! 😉 It s an expensive device so... Thank you
Johan Pupillo hi. You will need to contact the suppliers as you have to be trained to use this software.

If you ever get a chance to find out where it is located on my mercury regatta mobility scooter I'd be very grateful, but please dont drop your other work for me only when your not busy. I'm looking and I'll let you know if I find out.
super plain spoken can understand him and videos perfect fantastic help he'll go far
My Shoprider Sunrunner 888 will not take a charge to the batteries. It's only 6 mos old so I'm sure it's not the batteries. I have 5-6 of these scooters so several different chargers. None of the chargers will charge the batteries. Yellow light shows charging for about 10 seconds then a steady green light comes on. One of the chargers, a bit different (came with a power chair)shows a blinking red light. Any ideas?
This no charging deal happened all of a sudden. I know of nothing that happened different than normal. Have taken apart, chased wires from charger port back to batteries, nothing wrong there.
my scooter will not go the leaver at the back works fine, the wheeles lock and free run, the batteries have just been reolaced as well, but still will not run, the key is fine, but the horn dues not work but it hasnot worked for a long time but stil ran. ?? Confused

I have a 'the scooter store tss 300' and under the maroon plastic flashing there is a battery wiring diagram. Under the grey front plastic flashing there is another battery wiring diagram. They don't match. I purchased 2 new batteries and I'm wondering which diagram to use.
Jim Gulley hi send us pictures of you set up with wires etc to nithsdale.wheelchairs@btinternet.com
Hi, my mobility scooter is pulling to the right, how can I sort that, hope you can help.
Check tyre pressure and if that is ok the front wheel tracking.
Thanks Tom,
I have this scooter but it will just cut out and a none stopping noise comes on and wont stop till i have turned it off and turned back on again? What is causing this? also how do you know if its charging as when i plug it in a red light comes on and then goes to green ? should battery be on green on scooter has keeps showing red? My wife got it second hand so we dont have a clue? Many thanks for any help on this would much be appreciated
David Kronic hi check all our videos get yourself a multimeter. What checks have you performed. What is the make and model
Hi at the end of the video you have the motor spinning, how do you do this test without it driving the wheees?
Dave Holmsey if the disengaging lever is on the axle you can then spin motor without in drive. If the lever is on the brake the. You will need to remove the brake.
My dad has a pride mobility revo, controller DS72KSP02. He said that the status light flashed 9 times. Now the scooter works intermittently. The status light seems to stay on after the key is removed but very dim. The status light gets brighter when turned on and has power to the light and horn but does not move all the time. Suggestions for troubleshooting?
Hi.. how did this happen. did it rain when the scooter was used.... check all connections to ensure clean, dry and not damaged. check controller connections look for signs of corrosion(green colour). check all pcbs etc. wires. connections... so light should be on when switched off. why is light on check ignition barrel ( disconnect wires to it) light off now. > check continuity on the ignition barrel just in case waster has got in.
Disconnected ignition and status light is still on. Checking all other connections.
Jim Zak you will need to follow the power supply from the tiller all the way back to the controller to find out where the issue is. Check all connections
im have same issue could we chat as need help with my scooter
Great channel, it's videos like these that make TH-cam worth revisiting. Now for my question: I've got an '08 Pride Victory 9, I turn the key on and a little alarm goes off, it beeps six times and then just a long continuous beep.. help please?
Check all
Connection from the charging socket to the controller.
But check the wires and all connectors for corrosion especially the multi plug that fits to the controller Etc.
hi my wifes rascal 850 will beeb and will not reverse , i found if i switch off key and on most times it will reverse . she has been stuck in a lift once or twice can i do anything to fix it myself , Thanks
could be a few things but first of all check the brush units clean commutator then try again. if that does not work then let me know.
@@tomjacques4 will do Cheers
Hi again i did what you suggested fited new brushes after cleaning the com , the brushes were not too bad about half worn , so fitted a new speed pot but fault still there . anything else you could suggest i can try . Cheers
@@alexlaws2290 so its an intermittent fault can be kind of a pain. I would replace the throttle pot just in case but you dont have one to test so you could try and swap the outside 2 wires on the throttle pot . this will make the wig wag levers work in opposite to identify if the pots at fault.
Thanks for that info i will try it on saturday@@tomjacques4
I have a victory pride 10 3 wheel mobility scooter when in rabbit gear by the beeps it says current limit what could it be . Checked the brushes and good , do you have a clue.
Hi what do you mean current limit its does not have a lcd display.
@@tomjacques4 Thank you very much for getting back to me. I will start testing tomorrow.
Hi can you please assist with a quinto scooter

how can you find fault codes on a Shoprider Explorer ?
Shoprider makes there own controllers hence no flash codes. Mind you they have a pc diagnostic tool.

hi tom my father has a invacare meteor, anyway one day he came in and said it was going fast then would automatically go slow the turtle light would go off and speed up again video on you tube said it was the potentiometer in the wigwag so i dimantled it and replaced it with a brand new item reassembled it and problem persists ive checked wiring all seems ok no warning lights to indicate problem i contacted local mobility expert he said potentiometer needs setting up he said when i put it together it might not be centred properly so i took it to him on trailer he said it could be the press pads on control panel one of the tracks might be split he said he would do what he can. on the way out he said if he could not repair it he had another one for sale my father is a pensioner with ailing health and all these people think about is there wallets not about getting a pensioner out and about his isnt broke it works perfectly albeit the fast and slow problem please advise philip....
There is a ribbon connection to the touchpad there could be a crack in there but personally think it could be the touchpad
hi tom thaks for the quick reply it was your vid that got me onto the pot as soon as i get it back from them ill give you a call and again thank you ever so much for being honest hard to find in people these days your vids are awesome philip..
hi tom got the scooter back this morning he was just on about selling my father another scooter he would do him a good deal i wasnt interested anyway he said the same as you tom touchpad when ive dismantled it the ribbon cable that comes from pad it looks like some of the wires look coroded they look black different colour to the ribbon .would it be possible to phone you ? on 01387266883 thanks philip...
@@philipwatson3594 hi im in the office the now on 01659 50572
On my scooter it's showing a number 5 what's the problem please
I have a fairly new CTM HT-1500 mobility scooter and it has been left on the charger for quite a while. Now the yellow charging light flashes and it won't turn on. Can you assist me?
Lee Derouen will need to know what charger you have. Also most chargers have the instructions written on them telling you what each light stands for
@@tomjacques4 My charger has a red light that says (On or Flashing) = Fault
Yellow: (On= normal charging)
Yellow: Flashing= No battery or incorrect battery fitted
Green: On= Fully charged. batteries ready for use.
My scooter keeps stopping on slight inclines, power goes down and it trips out. I put new batteries in but still the same
mmmmmm could be a few things ... 1. will it do it every time even if fully charged so when the scooter is cold .
Im trying it out on the flat and It doesnt trip out anymore under heavy load, but it does stop and beep I noticed its when slowing for a corner.
It has a throttle problem as when i turn it on without sitting on it)if i depress the forwards very slowly it has a long dead spot and starts beeping, doesnt happen if set off fast
Maybe it had 2 problems? I will see if the pot spring is ok if not order a new throttle.
If it does the trick i will put the 5a fuse back in to see if thats ok
@@theinternet8853 I would not increase the factory recommend fuse rating it’s there for a reason, could burn 🔥 out the wires and cause other damage.
@@tomjacques4 I know just using it for testing, I have taken a wigwag assembly from an old wheeltech rio 3 it works and fits perfectly! (My scooter is a Shoprider Cameo) Happy days!!!!
I will fit the old 5a back on tomorrow

No problem that cosmos pot of the Rio will also do the job
will when i get that kind meter

I have a shop rider QT8 went on the ground makes a banging noise when trying to move lift it off the ground no noise if you want it to move you have to help it along but then the banging starts any ideas please
Hi very difficult to say would have to hear it and see it myself could be a slack connection between motor and trans-axle or just a trans-axle issue. slipping gears etc. very difficult to tell without personally seeing it. video of it to our email would help
Nithsdale Wheelchairs V it has had the rear trans Axle changed for a new one and still the same
christopher stearman hi will need to send us a video on this. Send to our email address
My rascal break lights stopped working what happened
Barbara Tomlinson hi there what model is it.
i have a shoprider Paris when you turn ignition on all okay won’t go forward goes backwards for about five seconds then just bleeps constantly any ideas
christopher stearman mmm possible throttle pot. As it will not go forward but will go backwards. Can you touch the throttle lever just a fraction in rev. With the same effect compared to full rev. Throttle
Nithsdale Wheelchairs V Know if you touch forwards it just starts bleeping doesn’t move at all
christopher stearman that usually is the throttle pot problem.
Nithsdale Wheelchairs V ok thanks
I have a frontier Mobility scooter lights up but no movement fault light flashes 7 times any ideas on the fault
christopher stearman hi what type of controller is fitted it’s located at the rear of the scooter
Nithsdale Wheelchairs V i was thinking it was somthing to do with the Throttle controller on the handlebars does this seem right to you
Nithsdale Wheelchairs V If you are referring to the power box all the Wires go into it is a dynamic if it helps with diagnostics it does not bleep when reverse is Selected
christopher stearman hi the flash code indicates throttle error.
Nithsdale Wheelchairs V thanks i will look if it is not that would you have any idea what it could be and if so would you sell the parts
My kymco super 4 clicks wen I start, stop is this a problem
The clicking noise should be coming from the end of the motor. When you start to drive you should hear a click that’s the electric brake disengaging when you stop and let go of the wig wag lever another click that’s the brake coming on stopping from moving. Hope that helps.
Thankyou sooo much you have put my mind at rest xx
Good job
Bloody great.
