Cool guide, I loved your different takes on the fight! As a controller player on xbox too, what are you controller binds and how do you use them? Id say im pretty decent at the game with my own medium world, but would love recommendations on how you bind your controller for the game.
I have 2 different hotpouch slots set up to custom binds being my y and left dpad so I can heal without bringing up the hot wheel. Only other change is moving copy from right stick to left dpad because it was annoying me when crouching
Did you end up restarting the hardcore/granola only challenge? I was watching along on twitch every day until you took a break, then never found out when you finished. Your base was in the can near the tree the last time I watched, but in your playlist here you are on the pond. I couldn't find any of the videos on twitch. Just the recent ones.
I'd recommend jumping and blocking while it's screaming, it reduces the time, or frame where the summons can attack and you can jump away from the broodmother.
Will this work with 2 people? I’m not sure, but when we fought the infected lady bug, he said it was much tankier than his solo world, so I’d assume the same for actual bosses
This is more of a guide on a build you might want to use rather than a guide on the broodmother herself. For future guides, I recommend going over her attacks, phases, and mechanics for those that don’t know anything about her and want to learn before going into the fight. Most things covered here are pretty self explanatory if you’ve played the game before, but most people needing a guide aren’t going to know these things
I think you are right you see all phases of the broodmother and you told us about her moves, the attacks are the same as the wolf spiders as seen in the video
Why in the world would you not recommend one to first go get thor's pendant ???? you can get that running naked and its the one trinket "To rule them All" I personally go for this as soon as possible either by building to upper yard or after getting Bombs ASAP
True but it’s in the upper yard and some might not know how to get there or be comfortable grabbing it. With the first build I tried to stick to lower yard stuff
guys HELP! I accidentally fed a gnat while farming for gold cards, and it's become my pet now. At first, I was okay with it because I thought I'd be able to use the handy gnat function, but I can't turn it on since I'm playing the default game and I didn't switch to the custom mode. And now I can't kill it and it just annoys the crap out of me... it just keeps bumping into me and doesn't let me play normally again. How do I get rid of it???
If I'm farming I build the brood mother stuffed model and the head peace. I have on my stealing items and the knowledge of bugs mutation during the whole fight. Big difference in how many parts you get.
I see best build is sour battle axe with termite chest and giddy goop that way you have enough time to get enough hits in to stun her before first scream, but its been a min since I played so idk
Literally nothing stopping you from having all of those mutations. You should have shocking dismissal from beating the assistant manager. Spicy safety can be gotten from the spicy candy in the trash heap. Mithridatism should have been gotten from wolf spiders. Coup de grass is fully upgradeable easily in the lower yard and then blade master can easily be unlocked at stage 3
This was actually much easier than i thought😂😂
Really good vid I’ll definitely use it on my world keep up the hard work
Thanks Marty

I love this guide, could you please do this with the other bosses in the game aswell?
I will do it with a few of them yeah
Just the main bosses like Mantis and Wasp and potentially infected brood would be great@@Paraly5er

I just never ended up finishing it, 1.3 released and I just stopped playing the world
@@Paraly5er ok, cool. I kept going back to check but I could never find it 😂 I was waiting to see your setup on the wasp queen
is it still efficient in 1.4?
I'd recommend jumping and blocking while it's screaming, it reduces the time, or frame where the summons can attack and you can jump away from the broodmother.
Very cool

All enemies have more health with more players but this build will definitely still work
@@Paraly5er yeah, thats what I thought, thank you!

Yeah to be fair the tittle should have been build, but informative none the less
I understand that although I kind think a lot of it is just muscle memory, it’s better to learn by playing than just watching a guide imo
I think you are right you see all phases of the broodmother and you told us about her moves, the attacks are the same as the wolf spiders as seen in the video
@@Paraly5erthen why make a guide at all wtf 😂
@@sino4275 to tell you what setup to use to build the muscle memory.. obviously.
Does spider armor work on medium. And Isn't the Antlion great sword better than the black Ant sword?
Yeah and yeah. Opted against the antlion greatsword as its 2 handed so requires more skill to use and can also be a massive pain to craft
I only got 4 pieces from killing the spider how do I get another piece to fight the mantis? I need 5 pieces for the recipe.
Jesus, do it again. Dyslexia ?
How did you make the bind for shield/swap on Y?
In controller settings and change hotpouch slot number “x” to whatever button you want

Change to whoa difficulty and you should be able to kill it then change back
@@Paraly5er merci mate

That’s true, didn’t include these because if it was your first time you wouldn’t have them but worth considering after a few fights
How to i put my sheild on y button and my heals on d pad
I see best build is sour battle axe with termite chest and giddy goop that way you have enough time to get enough hits in to stun her before first scream, but its been a min since I played so idk
I was going for a build that would make it as easy as possible for the average player to beat it
I only realize now that its fully realised
Can you do the IBM next please?
I’ll probably go in order from easiest to hardest
Very in depth guide, helped me a lot. Didn't even know the staffs existed until this video- i was unintentionally making it harder on myself LOL!
i use the cmpliance badge bc im the best at blocking perfecly
If you were the best you wouldn’t need that badge
Nice the brood will die faster than ever
Went in with two bombs and completely unprepared. Killed it is 30 seconds.
Yeah and I have a pet flying pig called Peppa
I think I’m overthink it

But your not going to have all those mutations early game 😅🤣🤣🤣what a bell end 😅😂
