Here is my full review of the Ka Bar Dozier. An EDC classic that you the viewers chose for me to include in my this or that series. Great pick everybody. I present to you my take on the Ka Bar Dozier.
You earned a thumbs up and a 'subbed' before the music ended.
Though I own a few folders, the Dozier is the one that by far gets the most use. I love this knife! Some people are calling it the poor man's Bugout. I don't know about that, but it is one great folder, and affordable too.
Well the dozier was first so ill call the bugout a steel snobs dozier lol
The bugout uses a cheap unreliable spring (omega spring) that will eventually break. A lockback won't. If I want an axis lock knife on going with a Manix with ball bearing lock.
Love the intro. Just caught your channel by accident and algorithm. You're the first I have seen actually testing the knife rather than simply fidgeting and flicking the knife and simply talking about it. Kudos, well done!
Thanks for the video Jack. This is a great little worker that's lightweight, has a strong lock, pretty inexpensive, with acceptable/tolerable blade steel. The blade shape really reminds me of the Cold Steel Ultimate Hunter.
Great video intro..!! Great review..! I just placed an order for a Dozier like yours, blue with a satin finish AUS8 blade for $20 (it’s 2022 and all are $25+ now, but Amazon offered the blue one for $20 ). I chose AUS8 over D2 because my “indoor” knife collection of D2’s are showing corrosion spots while my AUS8 and 440 SS are pristine.

Yea man for such a cheap little knife it works great, easy to resharpen and holds and edge very good! Its also tough steel I feel. Also if you give this one away I would not enter as I do have one and would give someone else the chance to get it, I will enter the Rat II giveaway for sure though lol as I been wanting to get one of those for awhile now(as I stated in that video of yours).

I love the Dozier. Mine won't be leaving me any time soon. For those who are unfamiliar with the Dozier it also comes in the version I have which uses an oval thumb hole so it can be deployed similar to a Spyderco. Best $20 blade on the market. $20 price tag but still holds up to the quality one expects from a KA-BAR knife! Jack, Allen needs a Dozier in his life man

He will. I let my boss use mine and he thought it was one of my usual expensive blades. When I told him it was $20 he bought two. Shame I don't get commissions from knife center given how many knives I've sold for them. Lol

Its a great worker, lots of colors and a couple different blade designs. 20 dollars is a pretty good deal for this guy. Thanks for stopping by hope you enjoy.
Looks like a handy folder. My theory: tool Steels like D2 seem/are usually very sharp out the box because the factory sharpening method suits their properties. Coarse and toothy edge from the belts.
It's a proven fact D2 has vastly superior edge retention to AUS8. That said Aus 8 is infinitely easier to resharpen.

Kabar had this knife available in D2 steel several years ago but they had it priced to high, I think around 60.00 or more, and it did not sell well. Thanks for the links.
