Hey kern, thanks for your videos they help us B58 guys a lot. Having a serious issue with my M240i atm and I'm wondering if you have any knowledge of it. It cut out completely whilst i was driving yesterday and wouldnt start back up. As i was pulling over i got a few random errors, like the bonnet being open and abs failure iirc. I now have no ignition and can't even jump start the car so I'm wondering if this is a ecu/dme issue? It's almost like my battery has become disconnected, but the weird thing is my rear lights stayed on and so did my rear plate lights. Can't access the boot to check the battery now as it's locked without any power to unlock it? Thanks for any help man
Edit - car is also mapped stage 2 with MHD and cant scan for codes via the obd without power

In full boost, approx 520hp the car close the throttle at 3500rpm due to the torque limiter. I saw that on the log.
Send a msg to mhd and they told me that my clutch was sliding
Problème is that i just change it, less than 2000kms and its a luk 550i.

I have oem turbo so i dont understand...
Throttle closing is a tune issue. If boost or load goes over target the the throttle will close. I have no issues with my 550i clutch

Do you know why MHD and Bimmerlink show different errors? I have a permanent error in Bimmerlink (DSC) but not in MHD after using the MHD Bench unlocker. Nothing seems amiss and drives fine.
bimmerlink is more thorough. it can scan the entire car and all the modules. i think mhd also ignores some errors that may come from tuning/coding but aren't really an issue.
Purchased Bimmerlink and MHD adapter. Cannot get app to connect. What connection should I be using. MHD black or MHD orange?

I didn't see it as an option on my car but if you have a b58 then coding isn't needed. It might be available for other cars though

I have BimmerLink, but I have never seen the Short Circuit Lock option in the main menu. Any suggestions on pulling that up?
Try reconnecting. Sometimes it doesn't pull up everything the first time for me
Do you think a Bluetooth adapter might not show all the options like a wifi adapter would?
@@marc_iv. That's a definite possibility. A Wi-Fi adapter will have a more reliable connection but really both should work.
If you choose flaps open. Do i need to click it every time when i start the car? Or it will be still open if i turn the car off ?
you need to select open every time you wake up your car.

My 2017 440i also says oil service reset impossible so i tried Bimmerlink and oil service doesnt show up at all on it, no option for it. Anyone know how I can reset my oil reset. Also anyone know if a past due brake fluid sevice trigger an check engine light? Just had one pop up and cant figure it out.

@@kern417 I do not see that as an option for. Under "settings" - "time" I only get the (time, date, and format. 12/24 hr - yyyy,dd,mm etc). To add to my issues I just got an engine light now with a 12B304 code and coolant bleeding through my Bleeder screw. Have a video on how to replace the expansion tank?! ha!
There should be a checkbox at the top that allows automatic time set. It sounds like you need an O2 sensor.

also the ODB of the car have a sensor with alarm when rogue ODB dongles are connected , so I cannot keep it on the car
but to disable the ODB alarm , you need bimmer code ! so you need bimmer code to be able to use bimmer link ???? WTF

I've switched over from Bimmercode + Bimmerlink to just Bimmergeeks protool
i got the problem that my car automatically breaks by itself when i reach 305km/h and im just in the 7th gear and it would go faster. do you know which values i should add to monitor to point out why its breaking automatically? i assume a coding failure in the stage 1 i got and want to let it fix.
that needs to be changed in your tune to remove the speed limiter
@@kern417 it was removed. and it should stay at 305 and not breaking. thats why i want make an analyzis why it breaks.
@@Dapol1988 it's a limiter. Very common occurrence. Google 305kmh limiter.

Maybe it braked because the actual physical speed is a little bit over 305kph?
