Good job of the setup of the Scaena, I have one as well and I like it a lot. I piece by piece sprayed "permethrin spray" over the ground sheet and the rain fly and the tent itself to reduce any opportunity of any bugs. Some tent manufacturers include this as part of their manufacturing process. I did not see that treatment on this version, so I sprayed it myself to be sure. I also made some Elastic Bungee Shock Cord guy lines which in my West Texas winds help prevent me having to go out and readjust the guy lines. They are easy to make as well.
Thank you for your set up and review. I have owned a Eureka Timberline 2 that I use primarily for cold seasons like fall and winter. Yes it’s a three season tent but technically it’s a shelter to get you out of the elements. With the right layering system one can get a warm comfortable nights rest. I’m looking to buy a newer lightweight 3/4 season tent and this One Tigris could be it. You have brought up some great ideas that my older tent doesn’t do or lacks . Such as ventilation. I love testing the elements and having people call me crazy for doing so. But I want to be prepared when and if I get into a situation I didn’t expect. Thank you again and happy hiking/ camping..
Good demo I like this tent but not for high winds in my opinion I wonder could the inner be put up inside the outer when the outer fly is pitched first that way less chance of a wet inner shame the vestibule isn't a bit larger for storage of boots etc
I used this a couple weeks ago during a pretty heavy rainstorm--about an inch in an hour. I was honestly surprised that not a drop of water got in, even with that funky internal fly design. I'd say this is really more of a "1.5 person" tent--I'm not a large person, and two people would be pretty snug--and seems to be an ideal tent for spring or fall, as it did get a bit stuffy in the tent at night. Overall, though, it's a good value for the price, especially for car campers or even backpackers who aren't going deep into the wilderness.
I have just bought the Scaena Tent , Cot Bed and Chair from one Tigris and will be using them for the first time on my 5 day camping trip to Buxton in a few weeks. I also have the One Tigris Titanium oven which is great. Great review and setup looks easy and you explained it well. Are you wearing Revolution Race clothing something I am considering purchasing next. Just got back into camping and the great outdoors at the start of the pandemic and done several wild camps including the Brecon Beacons
Quite like the set up with just a ground sheet and fly. As you say, could bivi under it quite easily on a nice evening. I don't have any One Tigris stuff as tend to go for DD but I've heard their stuff is decent and good value for money. Thanks for this, I look forward to the leak test video :-)
Mine just arrived today, I’ll be trying it out this weekend, any thoughts on what the extra plastic pole clip is for in the middle of the fly right above the door (the door that exposes the inner fly) I can’t seem to figure out what it might be for? Great vid, keep it up 👍🏼
Two things to be aware of with this tent is, the zippers are not waterproof and will get wet on the inside, and also the tent is not bug proof. The gap created where the zip heads meet WILL allow small insects and spiders inside. I use small blocks of foam to fill the zipper gaps and have Nikwax solarproofed the fabrics to increase water and UV resistance.
Jens Williamson, III (Deaf) I do not think that I like One Tigris Scaena Tent but maybe some people like it. Two Zippers with small ropes = not thumb up 👎 Two Zippers with only two holes (steel only) without small ropes plus one very small master lock (one key) = thumb up 👍. I am satisfied! You will know. Okay! Thanks for your time. Have a great day! Respectfully, Jens C. I have this tent and like it. You’re very beautiful and do a good job, cheers from the US!

Been looking at this for a while. Think would have nice view with the windows in the tent

Yes I think you can do that 👍

Its bigger than most 2 man tents on the market, u can fit 2 x 25 inch wide pads nicely.
Thank you very much on setting up onetigris scaena tent!
Good luck with it on your adventures. Best wishes.
Thank you 😊

Just bought this on sale for 157.00 Have not used yet but looking forward to test run. Nice review on set-up...thanks!
Enjoy! It’s a great little tent 😀
Id rather get a 20 quid tarp from screwfix
Quick and easy set-up. Plenty of room for me and the dog. I like!

All my hammock gear and tarp is DD, I love their stuff too!

Great review. Love their products but putting it up in a gale will probably be very challenging?
I haven’t tried yet but will let you know in future videos!
I forgot to add that I think it’s Outdoor Gear review who did the stormy weather review about the Scaena
Yes I watched it and was impressed 👍

Why do you call the ground the floor?

I would think that you swear when you have to set up that tent in rain and storm.
Its a strange design 🤔 Bit too fiddly for me personally.
It’s the quickest easiest tent I’ve ever put up! Less than 5 mins to put up and down!
@@Fairythegreyhound I prefer the Backwoods bungalow. More my style.
What keeps spiders and snakes from crawling in tent
The mesh. It has an enclosed inner tent
