- Hey guys! In this video I showed you guys around 45 Willcocks dormitory which is one of the dorms at the University of Toronto. As I mentioned in my video I am so glad I am back at 45 Willcocks because this is one of the better dorms at UofT. Haha thank you so much for your kind words and yes normally the university provides gym membership to students :) (this fee is included in your tuition, but I am pretty sure you can opt out of it as well).
U of t is my dream school😭 I know I will never make it here so I always cry while watching these videos but I love them😭

Hey Richard, I had a question. Are we allowed to change our dorms? Secondly if we opt for a room mate earlier and later on reject the idea and want to shift to a personalised room, can we do that?

Just out of interest, how many students live on a floor? (2 washrooms per floor times 4 stalls seems somewhat limited... but of course depending on how many people live there)
hi richard! thanks for making this video. i have a question about the mailbox- if you order something that is too big to fit in it, like an amazon package, how will it get sent to you? also, are you allowed to have your own countertop stove in your dorm?
The dorm will keep everything in the storage until the student picks it up so don't worry about that. Also you won't be able to have your own countertop stove in your room since it's considered as a fire hazard!
Can students from other colleges eat in the New College cafeteria and any other cafeterias? Or do meal plans only allow you to eat in one spot in the entire campus (our own college)? Thanks Richard! I’ve been binging your content
Haha I am glad to hear that you binge watched my videos! I am pretty sure you can get a meal plan from New College even if you are not staying at New College but I am not 100% sure. I would definitely recommend you to reach out to New College about this question👍👍

Hey Richard! I just signed up for a UofT webcast for prospective students. Do you know how is that? And what questions should I ask? Is it going to be helpful?
I never attended UofT's webcast so I wouldn't be able to tell you much about it but I would recommend you to ask if they made any changes to the application process this year due to COVID-19👍👍! (I think it's going to be helpful)

Hey Richard, I have a few questions regarding admission in uoft as an international student.
1. Do they take any entrance exam?
2. Do i need to take a SAT exam?
3. Do I need to take IELTS?

Isn’t it supposed to be just compulsory for scholarship or something?
IELTS yes they're compulsory if your native language is not English (it makes sure and gives you the certificate which states that you're fluent and understand English.)
SAT though it is not compulsory for Canadian colleges it is advised to take the exam, this makes your CV a bit more intensive.
As for entrance exams, i do not know much about them since i am studying in 11th grade right now.
I know you would not need a reply after a whole 2 years but i replied since, many other students need the answer to your question.
Please do not take this in the wrong way, I'm just trying to help!

Hmm I am pretty sure you can't but I would recommend you to contact your college registrar about this as well!

this is prob a weird question BUT do dorm rooms have bathrooms (with shower) in them?
(not talking abt the public restrooms on every floor)
Not in these typical dorm rooms, but if you want a personal washroom you can look into other higher quality dorms like chestnut and campus one👍👍!

Nope! students can choose to stay in any residences regardless of their year of study :)

If we just win the scholarship an they promise us to provide accommodation l,so will the accommodation be these type of dorms??
I am not too sure if there are scholarships that guarantees your place at the dorm but if they do exist I would assume that the university will accommodate you to dorms like this!

Yes, this is my second year of staying at 45 Willcocks which is in St. George campus👍👍

Yes, there are dinning halls at uoft👍👍 I think most colleges have dining halls with few exceptions like Innis college

How do you secure a place in dorm as an upper year, cuz I'm interested in living on campus as in my second year.
I would recommend you to participate in floor events, meetings and demonstrate good standard in your first year. This will definitely boost your chance of living on residence again in your second year :)

There are caretakers working at the dorm👍👍! (if that's what you mean by cleaning service)

I think uoft recommends/prioritizes first years to live on campus but It's not limited to only first year students👍👍!

Does anyone knows that if the washrooms are in a rushy time like morning or before night, would you have a super long waiting time for a shower? Since its gender neutral, girls would probably take longer for showers? And do we have to like stand there the whole time while waiting for the shower room to be done

I am not staying at dorm
when taking a bath...do u have to use a shower or are buckets provided?
Students don’t usually take baths but you can most definitely use the bathtub to take baths if you want👍👍!

Hi Richard 👋🏾 I am a new member on your TH-cam channel. Well i had a bad journey of searching the best accommodation to live, every accommodation i was looking for it has very very bad reviews, people complains alot these accommodations are Campus one, Parkside and a little bit complains from Centennial place. Now i am really confused I don’t know which accommodation I should book, Thanks God i get you, and I know through your videos i will get help and guidance 😄
