Today I received mine and I must say that they have updated the bracelet, now it has female links, the bracelet is fully brushed with a more vintage style, and the clasp is the same as the PD1718 model, they have greatly improved the quality and the cover no longer sounds rear.

I hope they do a steel bezel version to really get that Paul Newman 6239 look, the no-date makes the watch almost perfect. The only thing missing is a brushed bracelet.
I've been looking for a chronograph for a while (not for timing - like most people I just like the look!), and had settled on a Seiko meca-quartz being the best movement in my price range. Couldn't find a watch that had a good size case, with the movement, that I liked the look of without spending hundreds of pounds. Pagani must have been watching over my shoulder as I searched, they have put almost everything I wanted in a watch at a third of the price of most! Ordered, along with a few straps - looking forward to receiving and timing random stuff around my desk!

So happy they've finally deleted the date, I think they should have done it on their other chronographs too. As the watch itself, I don't necessarily think it's a paul newman homage, rather it's an homage to modern Daytonas that have been customized to look similar to the real thing from the 70's

Nice looking PD watch. A close homage to the 6239, a few changes would make it even better. Fully brushed bracelet for one, I absolutely hate polished center links on an oyster bracelet, it makes the watch useless to me because it gets scratched just fitting the damn thing.
Good review steve i think the dial & case are outstanding your spot on regarding the white dial it will go with so many different types of strap & colours. I've just ordered a lizzard skin black strap Will make it a classy looking dress watch since your review pagani have upped the seize to 40mm i managed to get the 39mm they are calling this seize the limited edition cheers from the UK.

There are two things I don’t get on this watch: - The bracelet with polished midlinks (it feels completely out of place). - The ceramic bezel insert (they should have gone with steel). I love the rest of the watch including the fact that they left out the date window. That is the only gripe that I have with my Pagani Design PD-1664 (rose gold case and subdials & black dial).
Just received mine.. I wish it was a larger, heavier watch like my Rolex Sea Dweller. Strap is cheap (my opinion) and even the movement of my wrist it feels/ sounds like a dollar store watch. They do supply a NATO style watchband but think I'll put a leather strap on it. I don't see any anti glare on mine nor the video review. Extremely good review though. Very thorough.
I don't see a difference in the crystal between this and speedy. Both blank the sub hands with reflection. But I have a tag heuer and that's the same. Fir me it's the hand alignment that spoils pagani. A jump minute register on the chrono would be great but that's VK not pagani. I wish they'd just name a watch if their own instead of homage stuff because for even 3x the price the case and dial and straps are amazing.
I do really like this piece especially the size and the movement the only thing is the white dial cream would be so much better Thinking if I removed the dial and placed it in a container with some ammonia the fumes will patina the colour 🤔🤔🤔
I wish it was Cronos or San Martin that made these. It would have a proper bracelet, would be a much nicely finished watch, and yeah it would be twice the price, but it would be worth it. With Pagani you just have to have to many compromises. The money spreads too thin, it is impossible to make a well made watch at this price with all these specs. A fun piece though.
I don't like quartz watches but in this case I will make an exception. It's on my Pagani list. Next is the 007 Omega then this. I want to get an old 70's leather strap like Newman had it on. Thinking about yellowing the white part of the dial. At that price, you don't get scared doing mods. I have a feeling Pagani is going to get more expensive going forward so I'm taking advantage now. I will say to anyone considering a Pagani...be sure to get the models with the Seiko movements. The Pearl movement is junk.

The word TACHYMETRE is printed incorrectly on the bezel. It should be spelled TACHYMETER. It distracts from what is otherwise a nice looking watch. I hope Pagani Design corrects this in their new production models.
Your video would really benefit if you wouldn't be moving the watch constantly. People want to be able to FOCUS the subject and have a look at it. Put the watch a STAND that can be turned or angled when needed, and is otherwise holding the watch STILL, so the glare from the lighting doesn't interfere either.
I started this channel based on trying something different than what everyone else does (talking over B-roll). A lot of time I just wanted to see the watches from a certain angle and had to hunt for said angle in videos. I get what you are saying, though. I guess I try killing 2 birds with one stone with my intro B-Roll. I do appreciate the feedback though. Maybe I can insert some B-Roll into my normal footage 🤷
Man, I dunno if I had to pick. They are so different, mechanical vs quartz, sapphire vs acrylic. The alpha is more vintage, Pagani more modern. If I had to live with one watch it would be the Pagani, but I like the charm of the Alpha...as long as I have other watches, the alpha gets the nod....but then it's $100 more expensive...tough call
i just hope youre still sticking to watches you would actually wear yourself, thats why i came to this channel in the first place. i kinda know how you think about watches and i cant believe youd wear this yourself a lot, sorry for saying. well made video though cant complain about that ofc.
The pagani emblem should have been an applied shield in my opinion just like the Rolex coronette is. The dial is too flat and plain. So much more could have been done to make that homage so much better.!! Im not impressed at all with it. The colour is too white. More of a cream would have neen better. The crystal and ceramic bezel are superb but thats as much of the good things i can say. Yet again pagani are asking too much compared to what they used to offer for the money...Pagani arnt impressing me at all lately....😪😪😪
Money....it's just recycled from their many other watches. It was a good bracelet like 3 years ago when everything out of China was crap...but now they are just....fine, nothing special. I'd love to see them redesign their oysters bracelet and clasp. I would have liked to see this on their rivet style bracelet they have on a couple of their newer watches.
It's bloody quartz!...... Why buy this rubbish when you can get the ALPHA PAUL NEWMAN with a seagull mechanical column wheel chronograph movement for £130...... Its a no brainer guys get the ALPHA!!!

I guess they are using the same one in the Tudor chrono homage. I just ordered my 1644 Daytona and will see if it will get an upgrade or not

Agreed, brushing the bracelet is pretty easy to do, though. I made a DIY a while back and it turned out pretty damn good

Just bought my first Pagani Design watch....the PD-1664 with the rubber strap.
How is it quality wise? I got the same one in white with a steel bracelet.
I hope they make a Tag Heuer Monaco homage as well as a Junghans Chronoscope.

When you talk about Paul Newman's Daytona.. This Pagani homage is one of the most terrible and worst homage I've ever saw in my life.
It's a true homage, not a clomage. The tiger concept one seems pretty close to the real deal, also the VR PN.
