When I close my eyes and I heard the mandolin being played in Billy String's band, it took me back to the 1970s and my grandma's porch in West Virginia and all those old great players. That's the greatest compliment I can give these guys. You guys are awesome! ⛰️🏞️🌄🌳🏡💖🎵🎶🙏🇺🇸
Really appreciate that they rehearsed with the camera crew. The solos were all visible with smooth transitions. So frustrating when someone is taking a break and the camera is lingering on the wrong musician.
That was really great. I noticed the soundman couldn’t quite keep up with those quick solo transitions though. It was there but we almost missed the last fiddle solo. That’s a lot to remember and keep going though and a tall order for live television!! I would say Billy and the boys and the whole crew did a fantastic job!!!
