@ItsPandaTH-camYT I saw a vid a few years back of a white 2013 v6 Mustang handing out sprinkles of salt on a silver platter. It was twin turbo with a 100 shot making 650whp. I thought it was impressive but at the end of the day, a GT can be had for $5k-$10k more and twin turbo on that would get you 600-800whp depending on supporting mods and tune without adding nitrous.
@idriveayamaha my friend, just because they make the parts doesn't mean it worth it to buy them. Any money you put into this pile is all cash that could've gone to a proper mustang, hell even an ecoboost is better than the v6 because you get the better handling and some nostalgia from the old svo 2.3 turbo. V6 mustangs belong in the rental car lots or a high school girls driveway.

Biggest criticism people have is always gonna be its a V6. Cool car for your age, I’m sure you got a little experience from working on it. I’d recommend a V8 if you want to tune for power but it’s up to you what you want out of a car.
I had a straight piped v6 Audi on rep china wheels when I was 17 and I thought it was so cool then a few years later it’s back on stock exhaust lowered back on the stock wheels and it made mountains of a difference for me
Said it before and ill say it again. Had an eco boost as my first “real car” and spent so much on mods and useless cosmetics, thinking it was the fastest and coolest thing. I eventually saved up for a 5.0 which I properly modded and built. Always worth doing your research or humbling yourself with whatever car you have
Turbo 4 bangers are fun. I’ve always had v8 cars since my early 20’s. Just got a Cadillac ats 2.0t and put couple grand in performance parts and tune and she’s quick. Not gonna say it’s fast but she gets up and moves and is faster than any v8 car I own or have owned.

Car idling didn't even sound so bad, I don't even get the issue with the first clip. What DID cause me great pain was the insanely loud beeping noise you put over it.

V6 owner over here I went straight pipe but end up putting back my resonator and some Magnaflow exhaust because it’s just too danm raspy and loud, the video doesn’t make justice since it is a lot louder in person, I got some videos if you wanna check them out

I work with a guy who has v6 s550 with headers and tune, 20 inch wheels and spike lug nuts. Car is loud and slow! Oh also caliper covers too! 😂

The 3800 is in a different league of v6. I’ve seen F-body guys make 800hp out of them. I don’t think this 3.7 (which isn’t not designed to handle boost) would last very long at that power level
1985 was a long time ago and it's still a v6 so nobody cares.
@@Black__hoodie Most engines people boost weren't built with it in mind. If it's anything like the cyclone v6 it'll handle boost just fine and already makes 3XX hp as it is.

I look at it this way/ If nothing else, he is getting experience in the actual building of the car. And maybe the end product would be enough for him. Anyway, as Drew stated. It is better to see an actual building in and on a V-6 instead of a ricer modded V-6 or V-8 of anything any day. And a modded V-6 might be the dream car or a good starter car for someone else. A Turbo V6 mustang can actually be pretty quick
I actually want to build a v6 manual vert new edge with twin turbos. It's gonna have some quiet mufflers and be a cruiser that *can* hurt feelings but isn't gonna be crazy

I drive a 03 police interceptor straight piped no rear cats and I don’t even try to consider my self a muscle car even when new v8 mustangs and chargers give me thumbs up and compliments
It’s kinda crazy he has put so much time and money into a v6 when he could have just got the coyote but at least he’s going in a better direction with it
It just shows that with enough money your car can actually win over drew.
I’ll give credit where it’s due, he has definitely improved on the full tilt ricer stuff. Instead of a Coyote swap he’d be better off finding a turbo or two to make it faster. Still won’t have that sexy V8 sound but it would perform a hell of a lot better than it does now!

I think the stock rear end in these things is the same throughout cause Weston Champlin has been running the stock diff in the smoke stand if I remember correct and that was a 4 cylinder car at first.

people always make fun of my v6 camaro just because its a v6, i dont even talk about it or anything and they still find a way to act stupid 😭 its a green 97 camaro though so i guess it gets a bit of attention because nobody else around even has a 4th gen camaro, but im only 16 i cant just ls swap it and i dont want to anyways. hopefully over the summer when i get a job welding ill upgrade the internals and turbo it maybe ill be able to gap the like 73 mustangs around my school and the annoying ecoboost f150s that redline at 6 in the morning and think theyre fast
I would just get a good aftermarket cat back exhaust like Magnaflow, a cold air intake and a chip tune! Turboing or supercharging will be $$$ due to having to also beef up your trans and engine internals to handle the extra HP might as well then save your money and use it to move up to a V8 to start from!
With the money you'll pit into that engine you could get a v8 tho

@@JuanCruz-vn6he idk from what ive looked at and what im planning to do i think it would cost around the same, and in my opinion it would be cool to have the only turbo v6 camaro around. i could get about 325 hp with 3-4k if i do everything myself which is what i wanna do after i get a new daily
@@JohnArnis i plan on making my own completely custom turbo kit and exhaust because i can and maybe at some point in the future i could put an ls in it and reuse it all because i can do that too 😭 but for now i wanna keep my L36 and have fun with it i think my first problem would be the 4l60 so ill keep a spare 1000 dollars or something around just in case it blows up
To keep the top end, NA needs some kind of back pressure unless its boosted straight pipes make no sense
Our 4Runner with an Off Road Flowmaster exhaust sounds much better than that guy's Mustang. We got the exhaust to get it outta the way, not for the sound or performance. It is functional and was necessary or the stock was gonna get ripped off.
I know some 5.0's that have straight pipes and sound like a weed wacker hitting a piece of metal.

Buick regal gnx was a turbo v6 from the 80s and ran faster times from the factory then the v8s of its time it’s literally a gmc cyclone motor in a Buick regal

That exhaust was pretty cool because it was well done and rather unique. You don't drive a Mustang for the roomy interior and storage space so who cares if it took that space up? If it wasn't a V6 or it was done on a POS with a K-swap people wouldn't sh*t all over it.
And it absolutely sounds and looks way worse than it did before than after. It doesn't sound good either way, though.
The flame kit is stupid, but he killed the rest of the originality by wrapping it some ugly camo color and dumping it. Not that a white car with black accents is special.
I don't know if you've ever had the exhaust dumped underneath you but, not only does that makes the cabin hot, it makes the shifter hot and the drive genuinely unbearable. A conversation? Not happening. Listening to music? Better turn it up.
And a harness kit+rollcage? For what?? He didn't add any power! Intakes on newer cars typically aren't making more power. It usually only adds power on older low-hp cars and maybe a few at that. It's actually far more riced out than it was before.
I have a 2015 3.7L I've had for almost 4 years , I think of it as a 350z/370z and not a muscle car. I wanted a s550 , couldn't afford a s550 GT at the time because it was 2020 & I lived in Las Vegas at the time, I also didn't want a ecoboom. But doing a good sounding quality exhaust , a tune and 3.73 torsen differential, it is a fun car. Very satisfying to beat v8s with , mainly 5.7 chargers / challengers and hangs with scats till 100+. I'd like to procharge it or do a 150 shot of spray. I guess the end goal is to get it on the same power level as a 2nd gen FBO PP 5.0 but a little lighter. I have an exhaust video on my channel I'm open to opinions on , I personally think it sounds good but I'm open to feedback. The 3.7 is a solid motor but it's setup for failure because it's a v6 🤷♂️
honestly, id go procharger over spray. Im just about done building my '08 350z out and was gonna pro but decided Id probably get more stable perf. from a supercharger. And i dont think the .2 liter difference would be enough to drastically change the improvement evaluations from when i was planning out mine but in the end, do what your think will get you the most enjoyment from your build. I had to replace a trans. in the middle of mine so finally getting that sorted and then its just finish the tune, alignment, all the final checks type stuff and its done so im pretty stoked! Although, i might get a better coil over set, i got like a mid range set when i started due to budget, but now i can afford to get a better set and thats the only part of the build i "cheaped" on so idk. Good luck though! hope it works out for you!

The 1987 buick GNX is the only V6 muscle car. My second "fast" car was a 1987 buick GNX. The first one was 1971 dodge demon 340 4 speed.
Yes I'm that old. I know it's not fast compared to today's cars, but at the time, they were pretty fast. I traded in buick for a GMC Syclone, which was also fast. The only car that I regret not buying was the 3.8 turbo trans am that came out in 1989. ( my wife uncle and godfather was a huge performance car dealership owner, that's why I had access to these cars easily)

Idk man, I went through a ricer stage and cut it out. I respect him for turning it around and making it a lot better and cleaner. However at this point, the money spent could've gotten a 5.0. Especially if you're going for performance mods.

To defend the v6, i have a 5.0 2012 and a v6, thr v6 is for track and the 5.0 is for showing off on the streets. V6 manuvers way better and has better balance

It's a slept on vehicle which can easily be tuned to 500hp without the weight of the v8😅

The cyclone 3.7 v6 is a great little motor, you can get the late S197 V6s for great prices, and boost them (stock motor) to 500+hp pretty safely, some ppl have done 700hp on a stock motor
I would say usefully picking on not bullying. As real car people we need to guide them, not ridicule them. The more you inform and guide these types,the more they will spread this information and pass it on to the other knuckleheads around them. We need to grow and strengthen the car community to get rid of the ricer and takeover clowns. They are the ones that give us car people a bad image.

I mean don’t hear me saying flame kits are good for the car. But I have one on my car and it shoots flames fine when warm even without the sparkplug switched on. Definitely a gimmicky and dumb thing to do to your car but very fun nonetheless 😂
