I thought it was impressive but at the end of the day, a GT can be had for $5k-$10k more and twin turbo on that would get you 600-800whp depending on supporting mods and tune without adding nitrous.

Any money you put into this pile is all cash that could've gone to a proper mustang, hell even an ecoboost is better than the v6 because you get the better handling and some nostalgia from the old svo 2.3 turbo. V6 mustangs belong in the rental car lots or a high school girls driveway.

Biggest criticism people have is always gonna be its a V6. Cool car for your age, I’m sure you got a little experience from working on it. I’d recommend a V8 if you want to tune for power but it’s up to you what you want out of a car.
I had a straight piped v6 Audi on rep china wheels when I was 17 and I thought it was so cool then a few years later it’s back on stock exhaust lowered back on the stock wheels and it made mountains of a difference for me
Said it before and ill say it again. Had an eco boost as my first “real car” and spent so much on mods and useless cosmetics, thinking it was the fastest and coolest thing. I eventually saved up for a 5.0 which I properly modded and built. Always worth doing your research or humbling yourself with whatever car you have
Turbo 4 bangers are fun. I’ve always had v8 cars since my early 20’s. Just got a Cadillac ats 2.0t and put couple grand in performance parts and tune and she’s quick. Not gonna say it’s fast but she gets up and moves and is faster than any v8 car I own or have owned.
The 3800 is in a different league of v6. I’ve seen F-body guys make 800hp out of them. I don’t think this 3.7 (which isn’t not designed to handle boost) would last very long at that power level

I actually want to build a v6 manual vert new edge with twin turbos. It's gonna have some quiet mufflers and be a cruiser that *can* hurt feelings but isn't gonna be crazy I also already have a built v8 model lol
I look at it this way/ If nothing else, he is getting experience in the actual building of the car. And maybe the end product would be enough for him. Anyway, as Drew stated. It is better to see an actual building in and on a V-6 instead of a ricer modded V-6 or V-8 of anything any day. And a modded V-6 might be the dream car or a good starter car for someone else. V6 owner over here I went straight pipe but end up putting back my resonator and some Magnaflow exhaust because it’s just too danm raspy and loud, the video doesn’t make justice since it is a lot louder in person, I got some videos if you wanna check them out
I think the stock rear end in these things is the same throughout cause Weston Champlin has been running the stock diff in the smoke stand if I remember correct and that was a 4 cylinder car at first.

I’ll give credit where it’s due, he has definitely improved on the full tilt ricer stuff. Instead of a Coyote swap he’d be better off finding a turbo or two to make it faster. Still won’t have that sexy V8 sound but it would perform a hell of a lot better than it does now!

I would just get a good aftermarket cat back exhaust like Magnaflow, a cold air intake and a chip tune! Turboing or supercharging will be $$$ due to having to also beef up your trans and engine internals to handle the extra HP might as well then save your money and use it to move up to a V8 to start from!

The 1987 buick GNX is the only V6 muscle car. My second "fast" car was a 1987 buick GNX. The first one was 1971 dodge demon 340 4 speed. Yes I'm that old. I know it's not fast compared to today's cars, but at the time, they were pretty fast. I traded in buick for a GMC Syclone, which was also fast. The only car that I regret not buying was the 3.8 turbo trans am that came out in 1989. ( my wife uncle and godfather was a huge performance car dealership owner, that's why I had access to these cars easily) I'm an old man now, and I appreciate you take the time to educate the young people on what to do, and not to do with their cars. Most of them have good intentions, but don't know better.
To defend the v6, i have a 5.0 2012 and a v6, thr v6 is for track and the 5.0 is for showing off on the streets. V6 manuvers way better and has better balance
