- Well there is no real ID here, but this catch, in color, is at the very least, over 1,700 miles distant.
This was the pre-match commentary for the big soccer game today June 27, 2021. This matched the CTV Network (Canada) schedule.
Unfortunately, there was nothing local in the commercials later on, to where I could nail down the location.
Be that as it may, the closest analog channel 4 CTV affiliate (still analog in June 2021, that is), is CJCB-TV, Sydney, Nova Scotia, which runs a whopping 180,000 watts visual. The other likelihood is CKYB-TV, Brandon, Manitoba, over 1,900 miles. However, the picture was better when aimed toward Nova Scotia.
This was at 1546 UTC June 27, 2021.

Opportunities for this kind of reception, even on HDTV, will occur more and more often up to sometime in 2025 as the sun becomes more and more active
I sure hope so!! Will it be anything like this? (From my former cd637299 page):

With ATSC 3.0 such DX will be even better, if the same power is maintained, as 16 dB S/N ratio can be very much sufficient for a perfect picture. And the OFDM nature means that multipath won't cause problems either.
Nice catch Chris
Thanks!
Canada?
Also interesting that there was no VIR in the vertical interval.
Only now (Feb 2023) have I been able to see any comments. If only there were a local break.
channel 4 wasn't ever broadcast on, though it depends where you're receiving it from/where you live i believe
Not true. What we call in the Americas “Channel 4” is 66-72 MHz. Before 2009, there were plenty of Ch 4’s operating in the USA, and Canada (origin of the video you see here) was using it into 2021 at least. As digital TV, there ARE a small handful of 4’s operating, including low power WMDF Miami (calling itself ch 3 on screen, due to WFOR “CBS 4” also here, which uses UHF 22). WMDF was not on the air ar the time of this recording.
Nice Double-hop TV signal, rare in color.Try to get New Mexico 99.9 KTQM using double hop.
thanks but 99.9 is occupied here, and the closest to NM was a couple of Lubbock TX FM in 2022.
And now this TV station still catches you?
What Kind Of Antenna That You Use For This?
I believe it was the Xtreme Signal 8200 from Solid Signal in Detroit. I no longer have it.
@@christopherdunne7848 I Really Want That Antenna. If Only I Had 1 Because Analog Tv Still Broadcasting In My Country
Curiously, in which country do you live? That antenna needs two people to work on. I don’t think you will need one that big. If you are in Latin America, you may just need a small outdoor “all channel” antenna, 54 MHz and higher, which are not manufactured as much now in the USA.
