@@birdinflight3861 it was the hardest recorded throw from a infielder in the statcast era... they did not mention it but I think that's why its on the list
The difference between #4 (my favorite defensive play of the year) and the others, is that Nimmo's catch was athletic ARTISTRY. It's the kind of play that in all frankness, you wouldn't expect a white guy to make. Most of the the great plays in any sport that I think of as actual ART are made by the Michael Jordans of the world, and this was that type of artistry. For me, it's easily the #1 play of the year. The others might have been less probable, or in a more important, or whatever, but this was the best.
The Arenado play at #50 shouldn’t have made the list. He made it harder by having issues with the transfer. Wasn’t even a clean play. Also the Torres play at 48 was on a ball hit right to him and he made it harder than it needed to be. Good plays but definitely not top 60 of the entire season
It is so stupid that chris taylors catch in extra innings verse the brewers did not make this along with mookies catch in the bottom of the 9th against the giants
I really hope I can make it to the Majors. For now I’m just a pitcher in pony league. My first season went great. My coach got me a personalized award: a laminated Cy Young award. But man, the competition is this video.
Brandon Nimmo catch is the only Met defensive highlight on a list of 60. That’s such BS. For a team to win 101 games they have to have a few webgems along the way. MLB doing some shunning of the Mets due to ownership or something here? Plus his catch should be number 3 ahead of the Rockies because of the score and inning of the game and who was on the mound.
39? 5% catch probability and it's 39? lol not only did he make the catch he gets up instantly and puts the ball back in play despite colliding with the wall... bruh
How on earth is that the actual top ten… so sad… Taylor’s was easily the best of the homerun robs… the best should’ve been rounded out with infield diving plays…
18:33 "That play was better than my call." Legendary commentary

@@luiss.3866 fantastic and necessary correction you have truly saved us all
Plesac not even watching to see his barehanded throw get caught is ICE COLD
32:02 That #5 catch should be higher up. The elevation was incredible.
Plays like this is what makes baseball the greatest sport ever,
Tony Kemp's other career options had to have included stuntman. I swear, that guy falls/dives more gracefully than I walk.
Cleveland's Steven Kwan appearing more than once. Superb rookie!
Greene is gonna be special
This is so nice to watch waiting on the new season to roll. Good luck to all of you watching, no matter who you rooting for! Go Cubs!
MLB KEEPS DISRESPECTING KWAN, HIS CATCH VS ROCKIES SHOULD BE TOP 10
Byron Buxton catch at the wall with Gordon flying over him…. Just wow!!!
I'm surprised Ha Seong Kim's August 21st Catch didn't make this list 😕😕 Literally no one was expecting anyone to make that catch
because whoever is putting these clips together has a major preference for the AL. If you look, over 70% of the clips are from AL teams.
I was expecting it to be somewhere around Kwan’s foul catch… but no. I don’t understand why

As a rangers fan I remember 35 and had to watch it again 😢
Benintendi’s diving catch vs the Red Sox not being on here is a crime.
riley Greene is so good

Bro why does his race matter?
These guys get paid millions of dollars. They should always make plays like that!!!
Kyle Tucker is very underrated in my opinion
Brandon Crawford being slept on
I feel like Joey Votto gets a HR robbed from him every year
How is that Tony Kemp over the shoulder tumble diving catch not better than most of these
Ima miss Eli whites defence next season:(
@MLB Your floating countdown graphic "cube" persisting obscuring parts of each of the 60 plays ...uh, wow, great touch 🤦🏻
This would be a lot more fun to watch if there weren't two ads after every two highlights.
15:56 My boy Timmy on day one of the Yankees!
2:13 this play is at 57 just because it made the absolute angel Anthony Rizzo sad

Well done
Great catch to all these guys
pretty good list, not quite sure why grichuk's catch is ranked higher than white's catch tho...
55 should be number 1
Not a single Mike Yastrzemski play? Cmon guys.
Michael Harris not having a single catch on this list is a bigger snub than Acuna Not being top 3 for MVP in 2019

Eli whites catch was way better than Randal grichuks
Judge’s robbery of Ohtani?
How was that number 1 if I was 6inches taller I could make that catch 😤
Swanson and Riley’s plays we’re in the same game
So smith could have let it be a foul ball but he caught it and allowed them to steal home 😂
