I usually run all brass, but went the cheap route one day. I'd say about 7-10 rounds in using steel from redbox Russian, major jam and I didn't have the tools with me plus wife was with. The range guy took it came back deep scratched my tube other than them pistols run.
I have this AR pistol and it's 100% reliable. All of the owners on TH-cam have experienced the same reliability.
