Thanks both , starts my Sunday off on an enjoyable note, on an otherwise dull gloomy day. Vivi’s got a lot to answer for giving you that fascinating but atrocious book. Off to the garden now in my winter woolies.👍
I live in a forest fire area. We are actually under a red flag warning right now due to winds and the dry conditions. Four years ago we had the Alameda Fire rip through my area. Everyone took pets. They may not be able to take pets to the shelter but there are always rescue shelters that will take peoples animals and care for them while they are displaced. Also shelters for people who have livestock. To be honest I know when we have had people have to evacuate due to fires they are always allowed to keep their pets in the shelter with them.
Nice to catch up with the chat again as I have been away catsitting in Southern Ireland with some really cute cats and have been off the internet quite a lot. Great chat.
I must confess that I did shed a tear when I heard of Dame Maggie Smiths passing. I don't know why really. I mean it's not like I knew her. I am a great fan of hers though. Very few actors and actresses are what you would call truly a great, but she was one of the few. I think my favorite film of hers would probably be "Tea With Mussolini". She was brilliant. I think the king summed it up best............." the curtain comes down on a national treasure". RIP Dame Maggie.

The east coast of the US just had a major hurricane the devastation is unbelievable. Whole towns have been wipped out. It is heartbreaking.
It is absolutely horrendous.
Of course , like Maggie Smith, you lads will also leave a memorable archive of Sunday Chats for future generations to look back on and enjoy, long after you have shuffled off your mortal coils. Posterity calls!

If I couldn't take my pet, in the event of a natural disaster, I don't think I could leave myself.
Noone would expect us to leave a child or vulnerable adult, so why an animal, who can't fend for themselves? My heart would break if I had to do this and it'd haunt me forever that I'd betrayed their trust in me to keep them safe.
I love my animals as much if not more than the humans in my life.

I've bunched the Wales vid and this one together for a bumper watch. Wales is very scenic. Also I'm keeping my heating off for as long as possible as my bill has gone down...for the moment. So loads of layers and a woolly shawl over my knees. I wonder how many other people will be doing the same 🥶

I'm lucky enough to have a gorgeous ice cream maker not that far away from where I live. Some of the flavours are out of this world! But yep, expensive.

I think we do a good job of acknowledging all our viewers on a regular basis. This week we chose to give a special mention to our Kofi supporters. I'm sorry if that doesn't sit well with you.
The guys are here, entertaining us, making us think and laugh, lifting our spirits. And they are respectful and appreciative, I feel, whether or not we've bought them a cuppa. That's more than enough for me! They, and my other favourite youtubers, improve my life and my wellbeing immeasurably. I need to thank THEM tbh, and hopefully I always remember to show my gratitude 🙏😊!
