      Brilliantly phrased! My own experience does tell the same. So much time and effort must be invested in caring for, choosing (when buying) pertinent to all the items ranging from gadgetry to clothing.

    Isn’t storing them in the box a bad idea as it isn’t breathable? I’ve seen many cases of weird things happening to the leather even molding from in box storage over long periods of time.

      i agree ....& bubble wrap ??? are they kiddin' ??? lol
      plastic is the worst thing for storage ,
      it releases chem's & attracts mold ..

      bebop54 Possibly the problem was with the box, not with the item? Especially, nowadays they use all kinds of materials for manufacturing the storage ware.

    the plastic bubble wrap attracts humidity ....
    not good in a closed box...
