What I don't understand is that as far as I know, none of Bob Marley's children who have gone on to pursue a career in music have made a confession of Christian faith, Ethiopian Orthodox or otherwise. Though they may have followed in his footsteps musically, they have stopped short of following through on his example in becoming a follower of Christ months before his death. Also, as far as I know, neither has Rita although I believe there are articles stating that she and Ziggy (and perhaps some of the other children) had already become Ethiopian Orthodox Christians prior to Bob's conversion and baptism. One would think that with such a radical proclamation, and thereby a renunciation of the deity of Emperor Hailee Selassie I, that this would have made a dramatic impact on Bob's children and that the gospel would be central to their message, yet apparently it is not. I do understand that there are many Rastas who worship Yeshua (Jesus) as Messiah and see H.I.M. as an example as a leader who is a follower of Messiah.

Bob could not have simultaneously worshipped the biblical Christ whose second coming has not yet occurred AND also worshipped the Emperor Hailee Selassie I as the reincarnation of Christ at the same time. The anathemas of the Holy Ecumenical Councis are from the Holy Spirit and noone can lift them, not even a synod. So the motivation of the reconciliation with the Non-Chalcedonian Churches without them having rejected their heresy and repented, serves the ecumenical movement that aims an unification of all churches but in violation of the Truth. As I mentioned, the anathemas of the Holy Ecumenical Councils are from the Holy Spirit and noone can lift them. The only way for the Non-Chalcedonians to be graffed back in the Body of Christ is though necessary rejection of the Myaphisite heresy and repentance.

What I don't understand is that as far as I know, none of Bob Marley's children who have gone on to pursue a career in music have made a confession of Christian faith, Ethiopian Orthodox or otherwise. Though they may have followed in his footsteps musically, they have stopped short of following through on his example in becoming a follower of Christ months before his death. Also, as far as I know, neither has Rita although I believe there are articles stating that she and Ziggy (and perhaps some of the other children) had already become Ethiopian Orthodox Christians prior to Bob's conversion and baptism. One would think that with such a radical proclamation, and thereby a renunciation of the deity of Emperor Hailee Selassie I, that this would have made a dramatic impact on Bob's children and that the gospel would be central to their message, yet apparently it is not. I do understand that there are many Rastas who worship Yeshua (Jesus) as Messiah and see H.I.M. as an example as a leader who is a follower of Messiah.

Bob could not have simultaneously worshipped the biblical Christ whose second coming has not yet occurred AND also worshipped the Emperor Hailee Selassie I as the reincarnation of Christ at the same time. At some point he had to come to the realization that at the very best, Selassie was an icon of Christ, or kingly example as a leader but NOT the reincarnation of Christ. According the the Archbishop, this is the revelation he must have experienced months before his passing. I believe Bob was a seeker of truth and had allowed the colonial imperialists, racists, and bigots who claimed (and misappropriated) Christian faith (but denied the power thereof by their living) to sour him on the Christian faith, therefore he instead looked to the words of Marcus Garvey who had spoke of a King rising in the east, who supposedly would be the returning Christ. When one connects the dots it's not hard to see why many black descendants of slaves rejected what they perceived was a false Christianity but in the end it is the Holy Spirit who reveals who God (JAH) truly is and who Messiah, the Son truly is.
