Idk what everyone's beef with Gibson is. They had some QC issues near the end of the 2010's but they were putting iut great stuff before that and they've been very, very strong with the new ownership. It's like everyone loses faith as soon as one hiccup happens

Too cool! I was able to get in the Gibson Garage and look around but nothing like this! I ended up purchasing a LP 60's model with unburst finish; The Custom shop offers a higher level of craftsmanship, but was a little beyond my budget. My big takeaway here is that if you don't understand the pricing of these instruments, these processes (and there are many) when looking at the binding process, etc. and the AMERICAN LABOR involved, will help you with that. Gibson is making a fantastic instrument in the JC era we find ourselves in! Rock On!

I've owned and sold six Led Paul Models during the 70s. Had to sell them due to weight aggrevaiting my sponalthesis which did not discover until 1981 then had corrective surgery September 1988. Two years ago found a used 1991 Les Paul in a pawn shop and still play and have it. I've also owned 4 different SG's and a few Epiphones but in long run still love the Gibson Les Paul Models. They have their own that I'm able to connect better than any other name brand I've ever owned since 1964. My grandpa owned and played a old hollow body with one black pickup. I learnt my first tune, "Peter Gun," and now also own a Gibson and proud of the guitar. I think this model maybe a custom shop model but have yet to verify. Still this 1991 Les Paul Model Wine Red with Gold Hardware is a bad a*s axe.

I don't understand. They make it look so good. That they really care about their overall work and quality control, but in reality it's the total opposite. I bought a $2200 SG from them 2 months ago online and when it showed up the fret edges nearly ripped my fingers open, the action was insanely high and the cable jack would not except or release a cable unless it was not forced. $200 of repairs on a brand new, straight from the Gibson Garage, SG Modern. And throughout it all I found out that their problems with QC is quite common nowadays. It's sad, but I had to be honest. However, now it is a great guitar. I'm only making this comment to try to get their attention that there's a lot of Gibson fans and we deserve their best effort.
