8 times for me…each a major event in my life. Santa Barbara, Eugene & Portland, OR, Kansas City, Philadelphia x2, and finally Oakland, CA. Military moved me around, but each of these concerts were supporting a different album. He was the soundtrack of a major part of my life. The best part was turning friends into fans, too.
Oh yeah! Had to stop going to see the PMG, I would be physically exhausted and hoarse for at least 3/4 days...and I was much younger than I am now 😂! It was a major event inside of a major event every single time. The PMG fan are the most awesome man!
It looks like Mark was looking at David Blamires waiting to see if they could do it! I think Mark took a small breath and David did not. Amazing voices! David's album Absolute Drivel is fantastic!
Thanks for the upload. I saw PMG in July of this same year. Our show was 202 of 212..... simply amazing. Ledford and Blamirez were amazing to watch. I remember walking out to the parking lot after the concert. It was like had just visited another planet and watching not of our earth players. Metheny set the bar way high... Every concert I saw after this seemed amateur-ish.
Pat is the best, I saw this show live in PHX was the best ever. I do miss Lyle. Just saw Pat live a couple weeks ago I saw Pat In DC at the Kennedy Center. Did not disappoint sooo good.
Exactly - I mean the first part is awesome and Pat's solo was killer but that second part that leads tot he end is as important as the first part and acts as the perfect 'resolution' to all the energy build up of the first part.
@@reinekefuchs267 Yeah, I'm surprised Pat would 'rearrange' the tune (for water reason) by removing its second part, in other words by making it incomplete. The first part is great but the second part is its conclusion.Cheers, and nice to meet you too.
Yeah. The outro melody and synth guitar solo in the original version are peak Metheny. Honestly, I would have been angry if I’d heard this version live, denied what is, to me, the apotheosis of PMG.
Was blessed to see Pat 7 different times at different shows. PMG is simply the best.

From 2:00 to 2:19. David and Mark hit that note and held it for almost 20 seconds like it was nothing. *_I would've took 1 or 2 breaths in!_*

Yes!!! I mean three full bars... that's nuts! Props to those guys.
My favourite musician of all time, I don't think anyone can touch him❤🤟🎼🎶

Difficult to overcome, the best of Pat Metheny group, as much as I listen to it, I cannot help but admire and enjoy it.

This is MUSIC
This rocks, but who is that on vocals? It's NOT Pedro Aznar!
David Blamires and Mark Ledford.
@@jack_keyes Sadly Mark Ledford is no more.
the best part is missing. dont watch it if you are looking for that beautiful melody and chords in the end.
A different arrangement of the song.

@@tiluriso That is 100% how I see it too, it is also as if being told an unfinished story. Nice to meet some people who think the same. cheers!
