Why do people always have to choose someone to be the absolute greatest? If a person can not accept the known God, he creates and chooses his own substitute god ... according to his taste, according to his ideas. Pat is a very good musician and, above all, he had the luck of a great career ... also because of his willpower and extroversion. Imagine yourself standing on the edge of a vast untouched meadow, the sun beaming down, mild breeze, breathtaking green and blue hues. and you just ride off on a horse with no agenda except to take in every moment of an unanticipated paradise granted you by a curiosity to see what was off the beaten path. It's like "DAME" this is a rare gift that I've given myself. Every glance and every view of the countryside is a celebration of discovering simply what's under a sun that sheds a thousand hues of light on the basics. I mean bass player goes OFF the control chart if there ever was such a thing. Drive everyone into amazement. The drummer kicks ass. Flam paradiddles are not easy strokes on one tube muchless three or four. As JZ says in response to one of his own drummer's solos "that shit ain't easy". The whole of paradise of the country landscape that Bilboa creates is untouchable. And then Pat goes wild as Richard sings through an interpretation that no one will every forget. One helluva excursion off the beaten path in the meadow untouched

RIP Lyle May's. Truly great musician. RIP PMG. An amazing band that I had the privilege to see many times.
Richard Bona has proved that he is one of the greatest musicians of all time!
I regret never seeing this in person.
Pat becomes one with his guitar ...you gotta luv it! :)
I saw this show twice that year it was fantastic. Loving PMG since 1978.
Metheny bona and mays and sanchez are all insane and utter masters. And on 1 stage. Best since joni's shadows and light?
Discovered Bona, what a player !!
No matter how many times I hear this, my favorite PMG tune. JUST CHILLS AND THRILLS! EVERY DAMN TIME!
Truth...
Pat Metheny has a style all his own. Yes indeed! He's out there!
Nice lighting work by the stage director.
Jazz has evolved pat metheny has taken it to another level gooooood music
Imagining ....wow thanks Jim!
Paradise!
