This song resonated Q-tip style over the years of his career, I always was on the qtip bandwagon since black is black with the JB's back in 1988, I always thought Bonita Applebum was a spin-off/ sequel of the original buddy song because of the shared frequency of sound and aspect concept of both hits singles in the late 80s early 90s
