Rest in power Trugoy. I’ve waited 33 years for an official video for this song. Thank you De La for finally making it happen. Now pass me a donut please. No sprinkles.
Wow, we've lost so many icons 😢 It's hard to believe, their music is still so *vital*. We'll always have that at least ❤ Just re: DOOM...remember ALL CAPS when you spell the man's name 😉
My husband unfortunately left his earthly body too young two years ago at the age of 50, and he loved this group and their whole "vibe". This made me smile thinking of him jammin to this. The end of the video was extra special of course. Briaaaaars!!! ❤❤
The coffee mugs are shaped like flower pots and the shop’s logo also has a flower pot just like the flower pot on the De La Soul is Dead album cover. Genius.
This is what I miss from Hip Hop!!! Did you see all of our favorite MC's/heroes in one video??? That's UNITY!!! Support each other. Native Tongues!!! Forever!!! ✌️ peace!!!
As a man who has needed to wear glasses since the 6th grade, I am not going to begin to explain how good it feels to see Pos rockin' the glasses again. He made me feel like it was okay to wear mine back in the 80's and 90's. One of my favorite MC's
I have had to wear glasses since I was about 7, now I have contacts but still wear my specs because nothing worse than that morning fuzzy eye and stumbling round scrunching your eyes up to make coffee lol. Wear your specs with pride my dude! And yes Posdnus is the business in his specs!
It's crazy they'd drop a video just as De La Soul is Dead made it back into my rotation. Man, this is so beautiful to see that my eyes got a little watery. RIP Plug 2 and all the greats no longer with us.
The last game boy part is so touching 🥹 Rest in Peace Bro 😇 An ex teenager (45) grow up in 90 with all your song&album in France 🇨🇵 So much remembers of my basketball travel "carrer" teen in dad's Friend car with your music in my walkman 😊 Little stress before every game in another town, De la soul was there in cassette in my mind. Fun fact, here in France,in my appartement i keep my Game boy like a souvenir of those Time 🏀
This video is the perfect dream for the hihopheads who love The Native Tongues... I'm 42yo and I grow up with this art! Peace from the Netherlands. Trugoy, Pfife and Dilla... R.I.P.
I'm 52, Potholes in My Lawn dropped in 1988 my Junior year of HS. Oodles of O's dropped the spring of my sophomore year at Morehouse College. De La Soul is Dead, that album got me through preseason workouts and summer school that year. De La Soul for ever! RIP Dave
Hearing Dave speak at the end truly brought tears to my face. THANK YOU PLUG #2, THANK YOU DAVE, THANK YOU TRUGOY, THANK YOU YOGURT, THANK YOU DOVE FOR YOUR AMAZING LEGACY WHICH WILL LIVE ON FOREVER.
De la soul all time classic album. top album of all time. i probably listened to illmatic a hundred times. I listened to De la soul is Dead millions of times!!!!

I remember ditching first and second period in High School to listening to De La Soul is Dead full album in a an actual donut shop without realizing Oodle of O's would be so monumental for me and my boys. R.I.P Trugoy
Amazing to see this still rockin' it 33 years later, De La Soul is in fact not dead. Big resepct to them and all of Native Tongues collection, all the buddy's!
At the age of 14, my nephew (my father 2nd marriage, so my nephew was older than me by 6 yrs) was the dj for Mormon Youth dances held around the Bay Area in Northern California, from San Francisco, San Mateo, San Bruno, Foster City and in Oakland ect ect.. I was dj help, helping my nephew setting up dj equipment and crates of vinyl .. so many times, my nephew and I would spend hours in Berkeley looking for records.. and being 14 yrs old, I was moved by De La Soul's music and A Tribe Called Quest and at the same time, the West Coast music as well.. and for decades I was keeping up with De La Soul.. in 1987 I was 14 yrs old. Thank you De La Soul I'll make sure Dave sees this 🙏❤ My nephew past away in 2001 .. so he even knows what De La is
Thank you for blessing us with this great song!🙏🏾🎊❤️🕊️ It’s been 33 years since the song was released, but here we are in 2024, and it feels good and filled with L💓VE.
My favorite De La track of all time. Such a great tribute to Dave and it was great to see all these legends come out for the opening and video shoot. Rest in Peace Dave and Phife.
No one has EVER hit the rap game the way De La Soul did in the late 80s...they were like some people from another planet at the time...and thankfully they never changed, and I'm not even a big fan but they changed the game something crazy...undeniable and uncompromising ❤
It was less than 24 hrs ago I was searching for any De La videos I'd missed, hoping for more DLSID. Y'all just released this ten minutes ago. Seven minutes ago it popped up in front of me like a crazy magic trick. Love y'all forever.
You knew, which is why you are here. I'm sure you have shared this to someone else at that time and changed someone's life for the better. The power of knowing what's possible continues to open the gates beyond our comprehension. Thank You!
