You should clean that winch really good and put it back together as is. You could build a receiver mount for it and use it for the rear. For the front Quadratec has a pretty cheap winch you may like. Also you may want to get a bigger winch for those 40s. Bigger tires/ bigger ruts=bigger drag which means you’re pushing the limits of that 8000.

Rusty 411 I’m trying to find out what a skyjacker shock part number comes out to. Think you can help? Part number is: H7055S. Front shocks on a 99’ grand Cherokee. New shocks, but ride rough as all get out. Thinking they were designed for more than the 2”-3”’lift the Jeep has. I can’t seem to find anything telling me what they were designed for. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Just installed one of these on my new JL Rubi today. I watched this video just to get a better idea of what the guts looked like. Appreciate the video.

The inside of that winch looks like it's built the same as the badlands winch. I wonder why the prices are so different?

Mount it on a 2" receiver mount and it won't be in the water until u need it to be.

When you pulled it apart, I noticed your brake assembly was is not correctly put together (probably from a previous rebuild/repair) See the attached video for reference to the brake assembly and how to properly pull it apart and put it back together. th-cam.com/video/CyYs-oKlxUE/w-d-xo.html (at about the 3:50 mark) - see the rest of the series for a super great step by step rebuild..
