My 409 was the 62 425 HP. 2 four barrel Carter Carbs, four on the floor, positraction rear end, same car as in the song. would do 12s in the drags with 8" slicks on the back factory stock, but for the slicks. Loved the car, and love the music !!
@@wileecoyote5749 Not sure why you think the Bel Air was that heavy but the vehicle weight as I recall was somewhere around 3200 give or take. And set up right, especially gearing, they could fly. Amazing time.

'62 was a 409 /409 . The 425hp came out in '63 .
The ultimate sleeper car. Doesn't "look" like much. Looks like something your granny would drive. But it can spank any of your Mustangs!
