I'm 72 years old, I guess I'm just so partial to those cars of the 50's, 60's, 70's. I don't need hands free driving, back up cameras, computer screens and al, the others things. Wish I still had the cars I owned then. Even my "unsafe" Corvair!

      I am 4 years older.
Don't miss all the maintenance that old cars require.
Nor do I want to take long road trips in one.
My Tesla is way more fun to drive considering how slow the old cars are compared to a Tesla.

The corvair sport spyder 1962 was a nice car the poor man’s Porsche side valve engine. If you drove it like a nut the rear engine could get you out of control. Ralph Nader killed it. Any car you drive like a goof will get you in trouble. It was a great little car. He killed it. The vw bug was much more dangerous. He never attacked it. I liked the bug. Again don’t drive a car beyond its abilities and you won’t get hurt

My dad had one in '65, his third car, and I drove in on the weekends at 20 yrs. old.
Went to the pub with that 10+ babe, driving that master piece and then to the parking place in the woods.
Never raced it once but found all gears in park in the woods.

McDonalds, Ford, Intel, Apple, etc etc still advertises to this day ya know...they'll never let go. This "song" was simply an elaborate way to make an advertisement and i'd say they camouflaged it well. Repetition(distraction) is the key to your sweet little minds and pockets. I've been offered more money for my Ram Air heads than I bought the car for ($4500) in 1992... 1 month after my 17th B-Day. Still have the goat and it looks better than ever. I wouldn't trade those times, and memories for anything they have now! And oh, the smell of a lobing cam, dual exhaust, and raw gas coming out of those pipes! ( The Chicks Were Hot, And Lobing Too!)

I was born in Motown, grew up in that fine city and therefore got an excellent view of the birth and development of Detroit Iron.
In his monumental auto-industry treatise, On a Clear Day You Can See General Motors, John Z. Delorean told how Pontiac Engineers developed the "concept car" GTO. It was the first U.S. car specically designed, directly out of the showroom, to HAUL ASS!!
I never owned, drove or even rode in a GTO, but a buddy took me for a ride in another GM ass-hauler, his Olds 442. Without positraction that sumbitch could lay rubber 1/2 block!

He drove the GTO and she had a little blue Datsun 4 door; I had a green 10 speed bike lol.
