I know a lot of the bikes now are EFI , but tuning a carb always seems to be a mystery. How and what do you listen to to know if it's lean or rich and how to decide what jetting you need and how to know what to change to when adjusting for elevation. Plus maybe a entire carb rebuild tutorial. 😊 keep up the amazing videos.
Thanks for what you do :) I LOVE dirt biking also... have been at it since I was 6 and am 62 now. I raced expert motocross class back in the 70s as a teenager Wyoming/ S.D. area. Ride to live, live to ride baby! I enjoy working on them also. I am an aircraft mechanic by trade and live in Seattle area now.
My Rieju 300 pro has been a treat. Lovely KYB suspension, the motor makes excellent power for the terrain I ride and it’s been trouble free for all the torture it’s seen
@@highlandcycles Dealers really make or break an experience. It seems like Rieju was sending him parts directly though. As a company they seem to stand behind the product.

I’m faster on my 300 pro than my TPI Ktm I sold it for. Different strokes!
Hey boss! About Rieju. We got similar problem here in Poland, but coolant leaked after rebuild outside near exhaust port. The problem was a oem gasket and it’s silicone lining. The gasket is steel and Silikon just simply not seal quite good what cause the leaking. After switching to normal gasket material problem gone. Hope that your friend gonna received a new engine without any flaws! Keep a good work!
Hi Morgan, keep up your fantastic videos , when you have some time, it would be nice to have an advice about which set of tyres to use in the mud, sand and rocks for a KTM/ GasGas / Husky 300 2s for example.
Did some research on Reiju and decided to buy an Ohlins shock for the old CRF250L instead. Keep up the tips, ever get out that way will consider your friends Enduro school/ ranch always good to learn new things.
Love the slog you do such a great job and your honest if you don't like something you don't sugar coat it you speak you mind weather you step on my toes or not keep doing what your doing I put a 9 once clutch weight on my 22 fx 350 it really helped me with not stalling the motor let's me lug that 4stroke a little more you know a 4stroke won't lug like a 2 stroke keep up the good work this is absolutely my favorite channel
I absolutely like the fact that you're honest about everything Morgan it goes a long way with us small guys that don't always know what to buy as in parts or bikes 🤘🤘 keep up the good work
I'd like to know more about the locktite issue. We are switching suppliers at work and Henkel (owns locktite) will be one major supplier. Like multi-million dollar contract for the next 7 years.
Rieju uses a flywheel oil bath for the electric start. I have a ranger 200 I only had to replace the Bendix the new updated version works great. Other than that great little bike. Stinks your buddies didn't work out.
hey morgan i know this is not the video but i have a question about the clutch watch a video on how to make the clutch softer when you remove the cover is there a part that has three positions?
Great video, good to see your calling crap were u see it, Props ! As for the clutch weights, I tried one on a KTM years ago, thought it was crap!! weights work when their connected to the crack via the flywheel, not a clutch. Be interesting to hear your thoughts, cause what would I know, I'm just a muppet !
Welp. Glad I skipped the Rijeiu Ranger 300cc. I am short and was looking at Beta X-trainer and Rijeiu Ranger. But decided against those because these do not have the full size forks fitted. Riding a Beta 200RR and really liking the bike - it has it's issues just like any bike. Still have to get the shock and forks done to my weight as everybody was saying it will "bed in"... but the springs have not softened up enough for me to get decent sag so on rocky tracks it rides like a pogo stick under me xD
Speaking of CHINAaA bikes, you should get a Kove rally bike to beat on so I quit thinking about them. Always enjoy the Shlogs, slow TV type entertainment.
I have a KTM and I am happy with it but I would never sell a Yamaha YZ if I ever had one (maybe in the future) . Yz's are simple, reliable and they perform.
Hopefully the owner of the Rieju, and other bikes that were sorry they were sold to your friend, can contact his parents and hopefully they will recall him for updates.
hi, I really like your content but I don't think talking like that about any brand I correct. I could go deeper into that but not going to. Check cases for flatness/warpage. also check the power valve housing for any leaks. could be from the cylinder
on the shock a couple things you could try if you haven't already tried them is pull the shaft all the way back to the seal head. Completely close the rebound adjuster and open the low and high speed then take a rubber mallet and hit the end of the shaft to try and create enough quick trust to move the piston in the reservoir. make sure you are not over the reservoir Incase it shoots out. if that don't work take the shaft all the way out. open the rebound first to help break the vacuum. if it stubborn put the spring on and turn the spinners and the spring will push the shaft right out. remove the oil and try cupping your hand over the shock body and use compressed air, I'll leave the pressure up to you. lol. the last thing is unscrew the reservoir if it's removable. I know you was not planning on putting that much work Into it but sometimes e it's hard to let it win.
You do need the fork tube polishing fixture like I made. I like the superglue trick though. I wonder if any spray solvents would damage that superglue in the slots. "Hey man would you just check out my shock it is perfect just needs gas, oh and it won't move up and down, oh and I have this bag of parts not sure where they go, but the shock is premo man". I will say it your buddy is a jerk. I would not go any further myself, If it turns out bad and he says Morgan just rebuilt it guess what his buddies will be posting on the ol interweb. I would say give it the Reiju effect and hand back in a box.

I'm swapping out the shitty AER forks for some cartridge and spring action. fucked up and scratched one of my tubes in the vice. FAIL. I was hoping you had a scratch repair vid. and you do. I hope it isn't about little dirt scratches and have something for a dumbass like me
From memory gasgas copied the ktm starter design and then had to change it because they were threatened with copyright infringement or something. It was always a questionable bike lol.
Why abandon the big name brand bikes immediately.. to keep throwing money at the odd ball ... pure stubborn frustration? If yamaha would just jump all in on a 300 and 250 yz x with electric start. Obviously it would sell.. not even a question. Or dare I say kawasaki bring back the kdx. Not only Some of these after market companies are making a killing selling old 2 stroke performance parts. But 20/30 year bikes jumped from 1,000 bucks to 2-5,000. The people have spoken!!
