    Those are banging numbers! Man!!! I usually run around $40-50/hr in my Jeep. I've banged out a lotta $2k weeks, $2,400 weeks, and even a $2,700 week. I put $60/day in fuel and just drive. I just bought a 2019 BMW 330i a month ago and I'm gonna see how much I can make doing Lyft Lux with it. I have a video showing me making $183/hr. Yup. In ONE hour! Rare for me, but I can only hope it gets better.
    The Jeep makes a ton of tips. I've done $900/week in tips before with the Jeep. People love it! That was a $2,400 week too.

      That's really good, especially for a jeep (part of the hustle)

    • @MicDropBBQ
      @MicDropBBQ 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@drivinginstyle1 I had to build it for fuel economy. I added a supercharger so it runs easier. Heavy Jeeps usually have weak engines so people have to press the pedal hard to move it. A supercharger makes the engine powerful to where I barely apply throttle and its taking off. Most nights, I'm averaging over 20mpg if I get the lights and use more highway. Once it's moving, it cruises with ease.
      The Jeep is the fun one! Haha! Yup! You already know the hustle brotha!

      There are some suv that get over 600 Miles per tank, I'm a big fan of Tesla but that's because the car requires no maintenance. Best way is to rent through someone that offers ridesharing vehicles. I rent my tesla long range with Hertz uber rental and my rental fees are more that enough to pay for 2 Teslas if I wanted to purchase my own. I say go rental, if you can afford to make payments then buy one whether an ICE or EV.

    I don’t know about the Texas market . But I was in Los Angeles for about the last 3 weeks . I was paying $472 a week for the long range telsa through hertz Uber rental program . So basically $91.00 a day then about $20.00 a day after 9pm for a full charge of 345 miles . I had to work 12 hours and make $350 profit which means after gas and food cost to make it make sense . And drive everyday almost .
    Now granite I didn’t have a strategy and would drive 10am-10pm on weekdays and weekends . I made $400.00 gross one day on a Thursday but was a lot of grunt work . It can be worth it but you have to drive everyday and manage your spending . Only did Uber x , comfort and Uber green no Uber eats .

    • @johnnyj846
      @johnnyj846 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh yeah I was paying $6.00 a day for insurance so that was included in the $91.00 a day . Then daily charges of $20.00 only if I charge after 9pm if I charge before then then it would be $40 for a full charge . I also was using the car as a personal car after my shift . For three weeks my telsa charge was $375.00 because some days I would get off late and not won’t to go to the charge station after 2am so I would lay double ti charge during the day . And a full charge took about 55 minutes

      I will usually give myself a budget of $200 for the month for snacks, premade meals cost me about $50 weekly (if done correctly), $120 weekly of charging. It does fluctuate up and down but it does require dedication. there are a lot more business expenses associated with running a business so it runs in the thousands a month so be careful if your gonna take this seriously, requires a lot of work to pull it off.

      Drive a couple of weeks full time, get used to how the market works and how much you made per day. Figure out the busiest times (rush hour, events, airport runs, holidays ect.) Those are the times your going to maximize your profits by taking good quality rides, when it slows down just multiapp if you can. Find a way to take credit card so you can do private rides (dont miss a chance for private rides my rule of thumb is $3.00 per mile from point A to B, and dress like your taking their money with style). Don't stress bad days, it all adds up at the end of the week, and for God's sake...... always look for more ways to make additional money, no excuses.

    I would drive more during the days if I could. I have a lifted Jeep, so many older people can't get in/out easily. I wait til they're sleep and off the road. I may pick up an older person or two per night, but during the day there's nothing BUT older people going to/from. It gets hectic with people in wheelchairs and leaving medical appointments getting in and out of a lifted Jeep.
    So, I do nights. More college kids and people getting off work (Amazon/Fedex) or just people going to clubs. I've had to fit walkers and wheelchairs in the back of the Jeep before, and that's fine. But when I've got a 3" lift and then an extra inch for tires, it can be harder to help people get in/out...especially if they can't walk or use their leg strength to climb in. I try to warn them by putting in my description that the Jeep is lifted, but some dont even read it. They go right past it. Then I roll up and they're like, "...oh...shit...well, I can't get in." LOL! Never fails.
    That taught me to do more nights. When I see hospitals pop up as the pickup area, it's hit or miss. Could be a nurse getting off work. Could be someone in a wheelchair trying to get home. I do my best to warn em, tho. But for the most part, people do their best getting in and out. I've had complaints from older people, so I try to give them 1 star or say I won't pick them up again. This way, the app doesn't pair us. They deserve a car like a Tesla to come pick em up. This Jeep can be a bit much. LOL!

      If you are driving inefficiency by accelerating as fast as possible between traffic lights and driving around 3 tires with temporary plugs constantly leaking air, that may be why your efficiency is diminishing. Charge to 100% and drive down to 20% and recharge to 100%, if your doing this then it’s your driving style and insufficient tire maintenance/ lack of proper repair that may be causing the issues.

      @@commuterbranchline8132 Not yet a Tesla owner but from what I’ve researched on mitigating battery degradation and range loss, owners say it’s better to charge to 80% and run it down to 20% for everyday commuting. Topping up to 100% is for when you’re going on a road trip and even then, you’re supposed to use the car right away and not let it just sit there on a 100% battery. Apparently DC fast charging/Superchargers are for occasional use as repeated regular use will cause noticeable degradation after several months and you’ll notice the reduced range. Eddie I just got your book! Super stoked to start learning! Questions:
    1) What was your charging routine for your original Model 3? Level 2 charge at home? Level 2/Supercharger out on the road? What was your battery degradation/range like from when you got your car to just up to the accident?
    2) What’s your charging routine with the Uber Hertz Tesla rental? Level 2 at home, Supercharger out on the road?
    There’s another TH-camr also in a Hertz Uber Tesla rental who’s been using superchargers a lot and is now noticing degradation (4 months in?). Yeah it’s a rental but then his range dropped because of his high mileage, charging frequency.

    • @drivinginstyle1
      @drivinginstyle1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My chargin routine was 90% to start, then 80% for the rest of the day. Follow the 20/30 rule when it comes to charging. 30% your thinking about charging then 20% u should be on your way to charge. If your near a supercharger but not near the 30% just go ahead and charge since you are close by bu then that all depends on how you can make it work for you. I really don't care about degradation, after 120,000 miles I only lost 8% capacity and was still making my money with no issues. I supercharged every day at superchargers, 2 times a day (sometimes3), Tesla batteries are designed to last about 300,000 to 500,000 miles sooo there is no need to worrry.

      What's you're f***ing point. I can't stand when people post stupid comments like this. I wish I could stay alert long enough to drive 84 hours a week. Only broke minded employees think it's wrong to work more than 40 hours a week.
      If someone is making $20 an hour × 40 hours = $800 a week. $3200 a month. Would you rather gross $3200 a month or net $6000.

      You don't own a business do you? There is this really good book called "tax loopholes" you need to read it.

      This is how I know I'm doing really good, when others complain of others success. Gotta love it

      Have to adjust the order of your formula. Gross earnings - business deductions (car costs, health insurance, etc) = Net taxable income then calculate taxes to subtract. Significantly lower which boosts hourly rate. I know many 80-100k per year ppl with salaries that work 80-100 hours weekly on call. Gotta do what needs to be done until can create and live off investments

      @@fernandoalvarez6731 promise I will hold no grudges, I figured that if I can do it maybe just maybe I can get somebody else to do it to. I've been very close to being poor too many times, and here we are again loosing everything we worked hard to get. I could end it all in a second but I refuse to, but like someone said once "it's a lonely road but on the other side there are others waiting for u to get there"
