I do house cleaning for $25-$35 hr on Task Rabbit and some jobs have become recurring, then recurring clients I found through word of mouth, and the few days I don’t have anything I do instacart or amazon flex or uber eats, whatever I feel like 😂 now I understand why employers are having difficulty finding employees, why would you employ with someone if you can make 3k a month just by working when you like and what you like?

It always seems crazy to me that uber takes upwards of 60 or even 70 percent when they are not providing the vehicle, fuel, maintenance, or even the driver themselves. How is it legal to take the lion's share of a service fee when you are only essentially an app that connects people, which thousands of apps do now for free. It seems like their business model has switched into a rob Peter to pay Paul strategy. All the bonuses, referrals, quests, etc could have just been used to increase the baseline pay per mile. Instead prices have gone up for riders, yet the contractors fulfilling these services in person are having a large portion of their earnings garnished to enable promotional programs to attract new drivers.

I couldn’t agree more. It’s a complete shit show and gets worse and worse, even with ever increasing gas prices. Uber DOES.NOT.CARE. As soon as I figure out a better way to earn money, reasonable money for my work, I’m going to ditch Uber so fast if they blink they will miss me leaving. But in the meantime, since they see fit to pay me only about $.40 per mile for my Uber eats deliveries, my attitude now is that everybody’s going to suffer if I have to suffer. I’m gonna take the longest (or just what I consider to be the most convenient routes for ME),......I don’t give a shit. The company is going to suffer and the customers are going to suffer right along with me. I couldn’t care less. This is what shitty companies do to the economy and to a workers attitude. I just don’t care anymore.

I did 700+ deliveries over a six month period for Uber eats, I’m telling you right now. One of the worst decisions I’ve ever made, yeah the flexibility is nice but over time they pay you less and less. Maybe it’s worth it in extremely populated areas like metropolitan areas, but other than that, definitely not worth it. I got into an accident and they deactivated my account, but in a way, it was a blessing in disguise. I was already very frustrated with the app at this point and they just didn’t care. Thanks for the video. I too have grown seriously frustrated with Uber and their platform. Just because they want more drivers on the road available what they have done is proactively deincentivized the Uber eats platform. There's no reason why delivery driver should make the same if not more money than the rideshare drivers. I stopped doing rideshare when the pandemic started and we were all making Grand theft money because people weren't allowed in the restaurants. But since more people have opted out of doing rideshare they now want those rideshare riders back and they give crazy incentives but I still think they are in control of how much money that you make even with that they also lowered the fares on delivery drivers because they know that we get paid more money in tips then we do the fairs and that's greedy in my opinion

I’ve done vending tables, cheerleading bows for teams, yard work , trash picking and painting furniture. I’m 46 yard work done right is farrrrrrrr from easy! Did my second delivery and it stated in notifications order miles was 2 . 9. Well , that was to the restaurant. After picking up the food. The miles to the customers home was 21 miles and out of state Plus i had to pay bridge toll 2 ways. Which is about six dollars. The order paid me 4 dollars with a promised tip of ten dollars. The customer knew about the toll bridge. I did not. I never would have accepted an order like that and the fact it sent me out of state is crazy ! I mean laws are different regarding all kinds of things especially insurance. Then the speed limit was 35 most of the way. It took me almost an hour to deliver out in the middle of no where. Then same getting back ! How dare they hide the miles like that then not even pay me more than four dollars which only covered one gallon of gas and it took two. Then tolls and my time . I did not even break even it was a loss for sure .

Dashers, Uber eats Drivers and Grubhub drivers should pick up orders only when it says 1 Mile = $1+ Tips, Example Order value $5, 7Miles, this is a Bad order. If the Order value is $5+ Tips, distance is 3 miles or 4 miles this is a good order. When you are driving you should consider Depreciation of the Vehicle, wear & tear of vehicle, Gas used for driving and your time spent driving the vehicle. If you are not following these rules then you are wasting your time and Money. Thank you and Good Luck Guys. 👍😀✌️🙏
