i recently watched this episode for the first time and i swear this part and ducky actually reuniting with his brother nearly made me tear up
Same here. It’s nice to see a happy ending for Ducky after he’s been through the last few seasons.
RIP Ducky ❤
When he says "You found him!", that moment when he realizes, that's my favorite part :,)
There isn't anything David McCallum can't act. Unbelievable career.
Dang. This really gets to me. I get goosebumps from how great and emotionally touching it is
Ducky (or Steele or Ilya) rocks. Not too many actors get to play major roles in 3 tv series in their lifetime. let alone have a hit record.
Kristine Maitland hit record? And what else was David McCullum in?
Kristine Maitland Make that 4, if you mean records!
@@MsYounghippie he was in Batman: Gotham Knight he voiced Batman's butler and also in ben ten ultimate alien and movies and tv series from 50 60 and 80
Let alone be a TV heartthrob in two series 50 years apart.
The flashback scenes of this episode are heartwrenching. Despite the fact that Ducky and Nicholas have a 20 year age gap, you can see just how close they were. Even though they were probably often confused as father and son, Ducky refused to leave Nicholas on his own where he might have gotten hurt. Ducky fought to keep his brother with their father, but Nicholas' mother was a piece of work. She probably never truly cared for her son fully and only took him to hurt her ex-husband and Ducky. Nicholas didn't know where to find Ducky and sent that letter hoping it would eventually get to him. Several years and a full lifetime late, but it led to a happy reunion. Ducky needed this, especially after his mother passed away.
Yeah, I say he was long overdue for a happy ending.
I love the look of absolute joy on Gibbs’ face. Ducky is special to them all, but especially to Gibbs.
Brothers together again very touching.
just watched it and all i can say is wow! powerful acting
Rest in peace David mccallum
NCIS is the best. Thank you.
Aaaaawwwww... 😢😔 RIP beloved Dr. Mallard... 😢
Priceless-Ducky's smile!
"Application for United States residency, 1987" J'espere that means he told her to get stuffed and moved out, but as this was pre- Internet, he wouldn't know where to start looking for Ducky.
Ducky is far away, David McCallum is dead! RIP David!
Loved this story! A really nice ending!
So many things I could say about this brilliant scene and episode, but a little thing I just noticed that I love is Tony saying the British "Happy Christmas" vs the American "Merry Christmas". One of the things that makes this show s o great is they nail the little moments that happen on the way to the big moments, then they stick the landing there too. One of my favorite episodes, Ducky - and David - are absolute gems. 😊❤
They needed a NCIS where they implied Dr. Mallard used to work for an international law enforcement agency.
Rest in peace Ducky God bless 🙏 to you and your families and friends 😊❤
I am not ashamed to say I cried like a baby watching this episode
Just the thought of David dying one day makes me sadder.
wow so amazing
One of my absolute favorite endings ❤️
Wonder how long Gibbs and Ducky are friends.....
I'd say probably 25 years, since the time Ducky came to NCIS
ep 400 gives you a look into just that
Season 18 reveals they knew each other before Gibbs got married
This one made me cry. Or maybe it was the damn onion ninjas sneaking around again.
Think it was McGee DiNozzo and Palmer that truly found him and Gibbs and Bishop the rest
is this season 13
😰
sad very sad bishop just gave up on her marriage it's worth fighting for poor story line wow
Narrvin Lee Jr. well seeing as how her husband cheated I’d say she was right for leaving him
Jake cheated
While it's true that people who cheat on their spouses tend to break relations with them when they find out and later work on the marriage, Jake did it intentionally. Ellie never thought what happened between the NSA agent and Jake was an affair. She loved him for who he was, but he broke her trust when he revealed the affair of his own accord, not because of her finding out. It's clear he didn't want a life with her when she did. So it's justified, her leaving him.
The cheating isnt what broke it. Jake put NSA before his wife which let him and Ellie to grow distant, then causing him to hookup with the other NSA member
I just watched this beautiful episode and I am very touched. very gratifying to see the doc. melard. meeting the brother smiles a lot and cried also thanks NCIS production. made my day happier
