- Hubby Hobbies Brushless motor & ESC combo upgrade. A little speed run comparison on the brushed motor with a NIMH battery and Lipo before switching to a brushless setup. Check out how much more speed we gain for a reasonably priced upgrade. Below is the link to the combo I used.

I got a Pro Volcano a long while back and on 3 s with a Hobbywing ESC the thing is a beast.
Changed out the super weak axles for i think 83mm steel HPI and put a set of PL Trenchers on and some Alu upgrades.
I have quite a few RC crawlers and bashers so now i am not able to work on them and have not used them in some time i am donating a couple to a charity that helps me to raffle off for Christmas presents.
I loved the hobby for years and really enjoyed spending time in my little worshop in my cupboard but my fingers are not able to mess about with all the small workings so i am more than happy to pass a few on to any youth that wants to get into it.
I will keep my little old faithful Rusty 2 WD VXL 3S to have a mes about at times as it is as about as bash proof as it can be and is great fun...
Great video, good hobby and quality time with your son.
good to see you having a good time with your son thats what its all about have a great day
What a good dad me and my dad have been planning on upgrading mine so this was a good way to see what will happen
Nice video
The only thing I would say is you might want to change out the gears to handle the power
Also glue the tires to the rims...
Great job bro but what is the difference between the exp and the pro version?
Thanks! The pro comes with a brushless setup already
But did u need to put a different pinion gear on it to mesh with the spur gear? because most videos don't show them installing or putting in a new pinion gear mostly it cogs because of the type of pinion gear
I ended up upgrading to a steel pinion but it was the same size as the stock one
Pinion gear?
It was a steel pinion upgrade but same size as the stock one
What pinion gear did u use ?
I upgraded to a steel pinion. Same size as the stock. Forgot if it was a Redcat pinion or not.
