I actually have heard about the lens and how good it is, but I have never used it. If you decide to purchase a Yongnuo lens, just ensure that it is compatible with the camera body that you intend to use it with. It should work so long as they are compatible.

Is is a decent enough camera with the right type of lens. You can also add a device stabilizer for a more fluid output. I still use it to film some of my professional more videos.

I use a plug-in dummy battery with an adapter, so my battery never runs out. I have an updated video with all the accessories I use with the T3i listed in the description.
It records 10mins at a stretch before it auto stops, when filming at 1080 x 1920 (24) FPS. Battery longetivity depends on usage and how long you've had the camera. You can purchase a plug-in battery pack that connects the camera directly to power to extend usage time. Hope this helps.

The 24mm is also a pancake lens. It is just a colloquial term for lenses that that are flat just like a pancake. I use the 50mm. The 24mm is also an amazing lens.
