    I use my 600d for video. In a world of polish I like to think of it like tube vs solid state amplifiers. 600d will become cool again and so I’ll stick with mine and all it’s recording flaws because those are the things that give my videos character. Your lense advise I’m definitely taking on board.

    I'm seriously a newbie to photography but ... on my 600d I'm sticking a konica 50mm and totally happy. I have a few more higher mm lenses coming so, we'llsee. But so far? I paid LESS for my lens and its much more interesting. I also have a Konica pancake and a nice telephoto lens. So far, this camera does it all.. and it does it for cheap. I don't need branded lenses, I buy interesting lenses.

    thanks for this. i saw an add for a second hand Canon 600d and went to TH-cam to determine if it's worth it for TH-cam vids. Maybe not even if it's being sold at a cheap price.

    • @AbdulsalamShaballout
      @AbdulsalamShaballout  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes there are a lot of newer and better options for shooting TH-cam videos, like point and shoot cameras that shoot auto and take care of everything, or newer DSLRs that might give more control and higher quality. It all depends on two things: specifications and user friendliness.

    Sir, is this camera good for vlogs and sit down videos ? Especially when you use a very bright ring light ?

    • @AbdulsalamShaballout
      @AbdulsalamShaballout  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      it probably would be good enough for set down videos if you are shooting at a wide focal length (not zoomed in), because if you zoom in, you would get a thinner field of focus and if you move a little it won't track you and you'd be out of focus.. as for vlogs, if you're holding it with your hand and moving around, it won't be good enough unless you manually change the focus every now and then.... I'd recommend buying a camera with dual pixel track focus like the 250d

    Im torn between this one (this much more budget friendly) the canon m50, canon 4000d or Nikon d5600. Ofc it probably depends on what type of usage you have for the camera. I really wanna be able to take portraits, film but also like shoot for weddings and stuff (more people more movement). I’ve already had a DSLR for many years to practice with, but it’s over 10+ years old and I wanna upgrade to do try and do something more professional.
    I’m not gonna invest in something super expensive but something more budget friendly and so I can upgrade what I’ve been shooting with. Do you think it’s a good idea to buy something older like this one? It still seems pretty good for this day. Or go for something newer with better specs?
    I really liked this review you really explain stuff really thoroughly! Like a lot of new stuff.

    • @AbdulsalamShaballout
      @AbdulsalamShaballout  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you’re planning on going professional then I definitely recommend buying a better camera with better specs. you’ll need the low light performance and the fast auto focus, which the canon 600d lacks (or is weak at). between your options the m50 will probably win, but it still is a beginners camera. if you’re planning on upgrading more than once from your current camera, then I think that the canon 750d or 800d might be a good next camera. (they offer good auto focus and an alright iso threshold) keeping in mind that you’ll need to buy good lenses, (search for portrait lenses and you’ll probably be recommended the 85mm f/1.8). hope this helps.

    Great video and informative. Would you mind helping me if possible, I'm at a lose with cameras so much information and videos it's giving me a headache lol. Anyway daughter who is 9yrs old has autism and it's the one thing she loves doing and it gets her out of the house which is brilliant.
    At the moment she's just using her phone and I'd love to treat her to a camera to get her onto the next level. I have a budget of around £400 maybe some more, but could you direct me to a camera that would fit her needs of 1) being a beginner 2) wildlife photography/ landscape 3) isn't so huge she can't hold it.
    Thank you soooo much!

    • @AbdulsalamShaballout
      @AbdulsalamShaballout  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think I’d recommend the canon M50 or M50 mark ii , they’re small compared to normal DSLRs , offer good video and photo quality and have the ability to interchange lenses in the future. However, I don’t know if it’s gonna be easy to use for a 9yrs old giving the fact that the camera has so many controls and options. You might take a different route, and buy a compact camera, which are great and really easy to handle.

      @@AbdulsalamShaballout thank you so much for taking the time to reply. I will go for the M50 after watching many videos, so thank you! Oh, lastly, would you spend a little more and go for the mkii or do you think it isn't worth the extra over the m50?

    • @AbdulsalamShaballout
      @AbdulsalamShaballout  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Both cameras have almost the same exact specs, but it’s said that the mk ii is a little more user friendly, if the money difference isn’t that much I would go for the mk ii.

    Hello, help me choose please between:
    Nikon D3200
    Or
    Canon 1200d
    Or
    Canon 600d

    • @AbdulsalamShaballout
      @AbdulsalamShaballout  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi!
      I would say you’d have to choose between the 600D and the Nikon D3200.
      The D3200 has a bigger sensor (24 MP), therefore higher image quality, it also has 2 more focus points than the 600D, they both shoot 1080p, but the D3200 has a fixed screen compared to the flip-out screen of the 600D.
      All in all the D3200 sounds better, but you have to keep the differences in your mind and try to search for the available lenses that you can buy (Nikon lenses tend to be pricier sometimes, but please do the research).
      Hope that helped.

    T3i/ 600d has autofocus, it's just not doing well when shooting video using the kit lens

    • @AbdulsalamShaballout
      @AbdulsalamShaballout  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      what I meant was that it doesn't have focus tracking, even with a fast lens like the 50mm f/1.8 stm, the focus doesn't change unless you press the shutter button, no mater what focus mode you're using. for example it can detect a face with the live view focus mode, but it just can't focus on it by itself you have to press the shutter button each time (even though theoretically it should focus by itself.)

    Should i go for 1300d or 600d?

    • @AbdulsalamShaballout
      @AbdulsalamShaballout  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      most specs are the same between the 1300d and the 600d, the size of the sensor, picture and video resolution, they both have built in flash... I think there are three basic differences:
      1-even though they have the same resolution and the same sensor size, the 1300d sensor might outperform the 600d because it's newer. (Canon 600d was released in 2011 while the 1300d was released in 2016), but you do need to compare their photos and low light performance to judge.
      2-the canon 600d has a flip out screen unlike the 1300d
      3-the 1300d has wifi unlike the 600d

    is the 600d good for food photography??

    • @AbdulsalamShaballout
      @AbdulsalamShaballout  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      the 600d can be great for food photography with 2 main things:
      1- a proper lens (like the 50mm f/1.8 stm or a good macro 100mm lens)
      2- good lighting, can’t express enough how important good lighting is (doesn’t have to be softboxes and flashes it could be a big window with a diffuser and a reflector). hope that answers your question.

    • @AbdulsalamShaballout
      @AbdulsalamShaballout  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ainesb9541 with the 18-55 mm there are also two main things:
      1- the focal length: when shooting at 18mm you’ll get more stuff in the frame but it’ll be distorted a little bit, while when you zoom in to 55, you’ll get a more natural look (which I prefer) so when shooting the full table of food for example you might use a wide focal length, or step back and zoom in to get the exact same frame (try the two and compare them)
      2- the aperture: you should almost always use f/3.5 when shooting at 18mm because of course it let’s more light in and in this specific lens it so happens to give the sharpest photos as well. (there are certain apertures that give the sharpest photos for each lens ex: the 50mm f/1.8 is at its sharpest when at f/2.8 not f/1.8). and when zoomed in at 55 or less, try to keep the aperture as wide as possible (between /3.5 and /5.6) keeping in mind that you’ll have a shallow depth of field and more stuff out of focus.
      for more info on the last topic i recommend you watch the video (Aperture) on my channel.
      one last tip: use a tripod, use the lowest iso value (100), set a timer (2 seconds after you press the button), and then adjust the shutter speed to get the right exposure.

    Shud i go for 600d or 3000d?

    • @AbdulsalamShaballout
      @AbdulsalamShaballout  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think that the 3000d has a newer and probably a slightly better sensor than the 600d, the 3000d has built in wi-fi unlike the 600d, but the 600d has a flip out screen whilst the 3000d's is attached.
      These are the main differences between the two for me. Choose what suits you features and cost wise.
      Watching more reviews for budget DSLRs is very recommended.
